*LIKE FATHER LIKE SON*
Three main attributes that made HE Peter Gregory Obi a great leader:
1. Integrity: personal principles that gave birth to the slogan “Go and Verify”, the audacity to reiterate this phrase over and over means PO have nothing to hide
2. Self-believe: the “I CAN” spirit, leads to seamlessly taking calculated risks, like moving from PDP to LP when things went in contrary his principles and to believe he can move a minority party to number one party that will win a presidential election within months in a country like Nigeria
3. Empathy: having the common man at heart, this in turn led to the “common man” accepting PO as a worthy leader, ACCEPTANCE
Acceptance is a watch word for any well meaning political party who ever wants to win a free and fair election, a candidate to have acceptance within a political party and outside means only one thing, “he has paid his dues”, it encompasses all the above and funds (or link to funds)
*Likes of HE Peter Gregory Obi are very rare, but I’ve met quite some, Hon. Dr. Solomon Danjuma Garda aka Dariya is a close match*
Arguably, the LP PCC went comatose after inauguration, so many people were not happy as they felt they were supposed to be on the PCC list, many lobbied their ways in, amongst the few worked selflessly and tirelessly is Hon. Dariya, the SDG/Dariya was the FCT PCC Coordinator, hence the youngest PCC Coordinator and he didn’t wait for any funding to hit ground running
He dominated the metropolis and rural areas already, from one remote village to another, we matched, I remember the song we kept singing even when our cars got stuck on very bad roads

On arrivals, most village heads quickly aligned with Labour Party based on Dariya’s goodwill as they already adopted him as a son
They’ll go on and on to gist us how he made ways for their sons to gain scholarships, how through him they gained jobs, skills acquisitions and empowerment
How through him the villages got blocks of classrooms and completion of abandoned projects
Stories of how he brought portable waters (borehole) in most of this remote areas, almost all the villages we stepped into celebrates him especially within Bwari Area Council
He simultaneously runs a humanitarian foundation, entertainment and empowerment outfits, as the leader of the FCT indigenes forum, the indigenes see him as their voice, with his role in the FCT entertainment community, he consistently markets the gbaghi tribe to the world and they love him for that, same for the ones that doesn’t know him in person, that’s how popular he is
Imagine how much more impact he will make with a political power, we all can attest that SDG/Dariya is very simple and down to earth, not a leader that sits back and say “go to war”, no, he rolls up his sleeves and leads the war from the front line
If LP must clinch the Bwari Area Council Chairmanship, our flag bearer must be competent, must have integrity, empathy and widely accepted, as seen in PO, time for our delegates to look beyond “the highest bidder” concept
I’ll strongly recommend an indigene as the LP BAC Chairmanship flag bearer, in the spirit of fairness, as the indigenes are already feeling left out
