From a personified representation of humanity…
If I had chosen a private-sector career—lecturing, Airtel Nigeria, an international NGO, banking, or even the NNPC, all of which I had opportunities for—I might have earned more money, enjoyed more freedom, and perhaps made fewer enemies. Yet, turning away from those paths to serve the indigent and the voiceless in remote communities has given me a deeper sense of fulfilment than any material privilege ever could.
My journey into humanitarian service began in 1995 when my mother enrolled me in the Boys’ Brigade. There, I was shaped by discipline and mentorship, especially under the late Elder Ayegba—our legend—whose life lessons guided me profoundly. I still cherish the memories of accompanying him to the farm twice alongside Sunday, fondly known as Senegal, before Elder Ayegba passed in late 2000.
In 2003, I envisioned a strong, impactful community association—a vision that came to life in 2008/2009 when I co-founded the Odo-Ogene Youth Club Association. Individuals such as Mr. Odoh Desmond, Mrs. Ojonugwa, among others can attest to these early beginnings.
That same year, an Assemblies of God pastor gifted me a pocket Bible and named me “Wisdom” after listening to me recite memory verses. Adama Mercy also knows this story well. By 2006, the discipline from the Boys’ Brigade and the spiritual grounding from that pastor propelled me to become the overall Children’s Service graduate, successfully reciting 550 memory verses—an accomplishment still remembered by Elder Odoh and others.
In 2007, I co-founded the Revival Entertainment Ministry Inc., inaugurated by Evangelist Abraham Oguche, a man of God I had long admired. His advice that day lit a spark that later evolved into something greater—the Unified Association of Campaign Against Su***de—a vision that has brought hope, relief, and smiles to countless needy and underprivileged children.
Driven by the same passion for community protection, I unofficially joined the Vigilante Group of Nigeria in 2013 and have served officially for almost a decade now.
In 2024, I embarked on a 33-day endurance trek from Abuja to Anambra State to raise awareness on poverty eradication, mental health, chronic disease prevention, and zero hunger. The journey kept me away from my family for over a month and even caused my son to fall ill, yet it reinforced my commitment to advocacy and meaningful impact.
Over the years, I have held several community leadership positions and currently serve as the Chairman of one of the largest communities within the Abuja environs.
Beyond community development, I am a tutor, YouTuber, agribusiness entrepreneur, international education advisor/agent, and public speaker—all in self-employment to preserve the flexibility needed for my service to humanity.
My life is a testament to purpose over privilege, service over self, and impact over income.
