🚀 Pi Network officially upgraded to Protocol V23 - A turning point in the era of Smart Contracts

September 3, 2025 marks an important milestone for Pi Network: upgrading to Stellar Protocol V23. This is the biggest upgrade ever, transforming Pi from a coin mined on phones into a blockchain platform capable of supporting Smart Contracts, DeFi, NFTs and dApps in the future.

---

🔑 Key points to know

1. Upgrade to V23

Pi Network is currently running on Stellar Protocol 19, and this upgrade will go straight to V23, skipping the intermediate versions V20–V22.

The deployment process takes place in 3 steps: Testnet 1 → Testnet 2 → Mainnet (V23).

The mainnet upgrade is expected to be completed in early September 2025.

2. Key improvements of V23

Soroban Smart Contract: Enables the deployment of smart contracts on the Pi platform, paving the way for DeFi, NFTs, dApps and blockchain games.

Cross-chain Bridging: Multi-chain connectivity, increasing scalability and interoperability.

Security improvements: Support for biometric login, two-factor authentication (2FA).

Support for Linux nodes and open-source code for the community.

3. Significance to the Pi ecosystem

The V23 upgrade is not only a technical improvement, but also a step to prepare the infrastructure for an entire ecosystem:

DeFi: Staking, lending & borrowing with Pi.

NFTs & Digital Assets: Issue, trade and own digital assets on the Pi blockchain.

DApps & Blockchain Games: Attract global developers to build real-world applications.

Payments & Cross-Border Trade: Turn Pi into a useful payment tool, connecting global finance.

4. Exact timing

There are many sources saying that the Mainnet Activation will take place on September 3, 2025.

However, there is no official announcement confirming that the upgrade will take place exactly at 17:00 UTC. Therefore, the community should follow the official Pi Network and Stellar channels directly for accurate updates.

🎯 Conclusion

Dangers of marrying an ALREADY MADE man?

You see many girls are more interested in marrying boys who are doing well financially.

To them husband material is one with a good job, car and house.

Most of them do not realize that very few successful young men will bend for marriage.

They do not consider the dangers of marrying a man who’s life you have not contributed anything.

You just want to enter there and enjoy all the good things. What a shame !

Dangers of marrying already made men ;
1. They don’t change for any woman. If you found him taking alcohol, he will continue.

If you found him womanizing he will continue womanizing that comfort zone cannot be abolished by marriage.

2. You will have little say on what he has. When an already established man marries you, he doesn’t consider you as a person to value but a property to keep.

He will be counting you among the things he owns.

Many girls are treated like things and not humans because they love material things.
With his money he bought you, with his influence he married you instead of other girls so he chooses to treat the way he likes.

3. You will be eating crumbs.

Have you heard girls saying it’s better to cry in a Benz than smile on a bicycle?
Those are wives with cosmetic riches.
Broken inside but intact outside.
Hypertension kills them, they dies of depression.
They drive cars but they have no drive within them. No hope no faith.
They fail to step out of those abusive marriages because the day they will go is the day the cosmetic beauty will go.
They are just keeping up appearances.

4. Your efforts will never count.
You'll try in as much as the relationship goes on between both of you,but what you'll ever done will not be seen, because areas in his life counterpart that needed that was already fixed, before you came into picture.

5. You'll never demand his attention but earn.
My dear he may or may not have time for you, you'll always craving for a quality time together but to no a

BENUE :
THE TRIBE WHERE MEN OFFER WIVES TO VISITORS IN APPRECIATION.

When I checked my NYSC posting and saw I had been posted to Benue states, I felt disappointed. I had hoped to go to the southeast particularly a village in the heart of Igboland and experience a glimpse of the world Chinua Achebe had described in his books. As I was grumbling in disappointment about how much I didn’t want to go to the middle belt, one of my friends patted me on the back saying I was going to be having the best time of my life in Benue. According to him, Benue people particularly Tiv men have a culture of giving their wives to guests for the night.I was shocked. I had neither heard of this custom nor believed it was possible for any man to offer his wife to a guest but my friends and some other persons insisted it was a tradition handed down over years of practice and I should look forward to such ‘gift’ as consolation for not getting the state I wanted.

I had planned to leave for Benue on the day camp opened but due to financial constraint, I waited till the following day. This made it impossible for me to use a transportation service that would have taken me directly to camp in Wanune. Instead I used the regular transport service at Iddo Park which goes to Gboko in Benue and we set off.

I soon realized I was the only Yoruba person in the vehicle when we got to Ikire in Osun state and one of the passengers out of curiosity bought Dodo Ikire from the hawkers. The man who later told me his name is Kumbu noted that he had always seen the Dodo Ikire and had no idea how it tasted. He asked if there was any Yoruba person in the bus and I signaled before asking me how the Dodo Ikire is made. It was after I explained it to him that we got on talking. I told him it was my first travel to Benue and he assured me I had nothing to worry about. He said Tiv people were very welcoming of guests and treated them like family. I wanted to ask if the generosity extended to gifting their wives to guests but decided against it.

The driver had predicted that we would get to Gboko at 7pm but that was to change for two reasons. First, the vehicle developed fault in Ondo state and we were delayed for about two hours before the problem was fixed. Secondly, the driver received a call from another driver warning him of robbery at Okene in Kogi state. We had to park for another hour before we received the all-clear message to continue. Because of this delay, we entered Benue around 10pm.by my calculation, I knew I would be getting to Gboko around 11pm and I was not ready to continue the journey to NYSC camp that same night. I asked Kumbu if I could get a cheap hotel in Gboko. He said he would have willingly taken me to his place if he was going to Gboko too but had to stop along the way to attend to something important. He then asked if I would not mind staying with his eldest brother who had a house in Gboko and would readily give me a room to pass the night. I accepted the offer when he assured me it would be safer if his brother picked me at the park and take me to his house than for me to start looking for a hotel to pass the night. When I agreed, he placed a phone call to his brother and everything was settled in a few minutes.

When we got to the park in Gboko, Kumbu’s brother was waiting for me. I thanked him for agreeing to give me a place to pass the night even when he did not know me. He laughed and waved off my gratitude.

He said: “Corper, you will soon know how kind and welcoming Benue people are.”

His house was not far from the park and in the short walk there, I was glad I agreed to the offer as it would have been difficult for me to find my way in a strange place looking for a hotel.

When we got to his house, he showed me where the bathroom was and told me food would ready soon as he asked his wife to prepare food as soon as his brother called. I thanked him again and went to the bathroom to freshen up. I thought about what I had heard about Benue people but hurriedly pushed it out of my mind.

I went back to join him in the living room where I finally his wife. She was putting food on the table when I joined them. She greeted me shyly and said she hoped I would enjoy my one-year stay in Benue. I soon found out her name was Dooshima. She was young and beautiful and I thanked her for going through the trouble of making food for me within a short period.

The pounded yam was one of the best meals I had ever eaten and I told the man so. He joked that if I stayed in Benue for a year, I would not want to return to where I came from because of the quality and affordability of their food. He then showed me to my room and bade me goodnight.

I lay on the bed thinking about how hospitable the man was to me which confirmed what I had heard about Benue people. Just when I was settling in to sleep, I heard a soft knock on my door. My heart was beating fast when I opened the door and saw Dooshima standing there. She asked me softly if I need

OH NIGERIA, I WISH I COULD HAIL THEE
Nigeria, I wish I could hail thee,
A land of riches, vast and free,
Oil and soil, wealth untold,
Yet the people's dreams grow cold.

Beneath the sun, the rivers gleam,
A nation's promise, a golden dream,
But in the shadows, cries are heard,
The hopes of many go unheard.

Majestic forests, sprawling plains,
A heritage that proudly reigns,
But hunger lingers, hardship stays,
The future fades in daily strays.

Oh, Nigeria, strong and bright,
Why must your children face this plight?
A land so blessed, yet so betrayed,
Where truth and justice seem delayed.

I wish to see your glory rise,
To match the beauty in our eyes
A land where all can stand and say,
Nigeria shines in every way.
Oh Nigeria, I wish I could hail thee, I love Nigeria and desire to see her whole again

SOME LEGAL TIPS TO CONSIDER WHEN BUYING LANDED PROPERTIES

1. When buying family properties, especially royal or traditional families, ensure that you are dealing with the Head of the family and at least two principal members of the family, who are adults. Anything short of this, the sale is NULL. Head of the family alone cannot sell family property and principal members of the family alone cannot sell family property. It’s even worse if you are dealing just one person claiming to be the representative of the family.

2. When buying land from a company, ensure that you get the Status Report of the company before paying. Be certain that the property is not only registered in the name of the company but also the directors are the ones signing the documents with you. Insist on getting the means of identification of the seller. If they tell you they are selling on behalf of the family, refer to number 1 above by requesting for the Deed of Power of Attorney.

3. The fact that a property has a C of O is not a conclusive proof of title. You have to be certain that the C of O was not falsified or obtained by fraud or obtained over an encumbered property. Similarly, when a property is covered by a Deed of Assignment, ensure that it is a duly registered and stamped Deed and it is verified to be unencumbered. An unregistered Deed of Assignment cannot transfer a valid legal title. Ir is not different from a Contract of a sale of Land.

4. When buying property from a Church or Mosque, ensure that it is registered in the registered name of the Church or the Mosque. Also, make sure that you are dealing with the registered Trustees because not all Imams and Pastors are Trustees of the Church and Mosques. In most cases, they are just employees and get paid monthly salaries. So they cannot sell any property to you.

5. When buying property from a couple. If possible, request for their marriage certificate and do not deal with either the husband or wife. Make sure you deal with b

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA

I noticed that the untold hardship Nigerians are facing due to the effect of fuel subsidy removal is too much for us to bear with bank making deductions on the covid 19 loan which most of her citizen could not to to appropriate use because of the pandemic effect and it is with this that I wish to make this passionate appeal to the FGN:
Government should direct the Central Bank of Nigeria and NIRSAL microfinance Bank to waive the covid 19 loan.
God bless the FGN and her great leaders and citizenry.

*DEEP WORDS ON MARBLE !!!*

*"I tasted all that is sweet, but I found nothing sweeter than good health. And I tasted all that was bitter, but nothing was more bitter than being in need of good people. And I carried both, iron and rocks, but nothing was heavier than debt. I discovered therefore that life comprises only of two days: A day for you and a day against you. So when it is for you, do not be reckless; and when it is against you, be patient. Because both days will expire !!*
*If you can't be a bridge to connect people, then don't be a wall to separate them. If you can't be a light to brighten people's good deeds then don't be darkness covering their efforts. If you can't be water to help people's crops sprout, then don't be a pest destroying their crops. If you can't be a vaccine to give life, don't be a virus to terminate it. If you can't be a pencil to write anyone's happiness, then try to be a nice eraser to remove their sadness.* *We can only be each other's keeper.* May God bless us all 🫶❤️💘❤️
