HOW TO STOP SINGING LIKE OTHERS, FINDING YOUR TRUE VOICE,
π£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈ
Many singers sound like someone else because deep down they donβt believe something powerful can come out of their own voice and that is dangerous.
You hear people say, βI wish I could sing like Mega 99, Baba ara, Segun Nabi, brobro,.....
So they fill their playlist with only those artists. They score their songs, copy their tone, their runs, their pronunciation, even their expressions. Gradually, they begin to sound like them and lose their own identity.
People now give them nicknames like:
π Mega Ibadan
π Segun alara
π Nabi Abuja
And they get excited when they hear it, not realizing something important has been lost.
Some do it unconsciously, others do it intentionally, but either way, it is not the best path.
Yes, learn from great music ministers.
Yes, be inspired by them.
But donβt try to become them.
A photocopy can never replace the original.
Your voice is unique.
Your sound is different.
There is a grace God deposited inside you that the world is waiting to hear.
Instead of intimidation, let their greatness challenge you to discover your own tone, texture, and expression.
Heaven did not create another version of them, He created YOU.
