We often pray to God for things that we are supposed to take full responsibility for. What if you pray to God for stable electricity, good governance, a comfortable life, good roads, and so on, and one day you find yourself in an environment where all those things are the norm? What would you do then? Would you stop praying to God because all your prayers have been answered simply by changing your environment?

This is why many Nigerians, after moving abroad, no longer feel the same urgency to attend church or pray as often. The problems that humans were meant to solve have been handed over to God instead. God has already given us the ability and power to solve many of these problems ourselves.

There are some things you pray for that will not be answered until you decide to grow beyond your current situation and rise to a level where you can attract the things you are praying for. Sometimes, the answer to your prayer is not waiting—it is taking responsibility, growing, and positioning yourself for the opportunities and outcomes you desire.

Be intentional about your growth, or else you’ll be there recycling your life like a clock, and the only thing that grows in your life will be your age. It is a sin to die without passing something valuable to the next generation, because somebody was mentored by another, and that person later modified what they learned, then passed it down to you. Will you let it die with you, or make good use of what you learned?

The man or woman who taught your parents when they were in school is not the same person who taught you when you were in school. In that classroom, there was a student who said, “I will pass this knowledge to the next generation.” Try to be that student in your field.

You don’t have to teach, but you can set an example for others to follow. Don’t waste your life.

You will find some people signing a prenup before getting married; you might think that will make the marriage work smoothly, but at the end of the day, you will be surprised that the same marriage will still fail. A marriage that will fail will fail with or without a prenup. I think the most important thing is this: both parties need to truly understand the concept of marriage before going into it, or even your mister might end up looking like a trickster when you finally say I do to him.

Sometimes you will plan your life so well and things will seem to be moving in your direction, then boom! Life hits you from an angle you least expect and everything will be shattered. The people you once helped will turn their backs on you, and the world suddenly becomes cold - nobody to warm you or give you a hug. The world suddenly becomes lonely; you ask questions and don't get answers, and even God seems to be mute when all this happens. Don't give up, keep moving. You're in a new phase in your life, and that requires only you to go through it
