Alloy Chukwuemeka quits as Executive Secretary of club Owners Association

The Executive Secretary of the Football club owners Association of Nigeria, Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka has officially quit his position as the Executive Secretary of the Association.

He told journalists at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, venue of the ongoing Naija Super 8 Championship in Lagos that he had since given notice of resignation to the exco of the Association.

According to him "I think I am happy leaving the position now, having served for almost twelve years.

"Presently I am there as a place holder just like Arsenal until the next meeting when I will finally handover" he said .

Chief Chukwuemeka accordingly to a letter dated 31st May 2023 and addressed to the Chairman of the club Owners Association of Nigeria, said his resignation was due to his commitment to a new educational pursuits as well as other sundry personal matters.

He thanked the association for the opportunity to have served in the last eleven years as well as the cooperation and support accorded him to excel in office.

He assured the Association of his readiness to offer support where necessary to move Football forward in the country.

A reliable source inside the Club owners Association informed that Chief Chukwuemeka had already commenced gradual handing over to the exco of the Association to be concluded in the next meeting of the club owners.

Alloy Chukwuemeka, who is also the Director of Football ABS FC had served in different capacities in the nations Football including Media Coordinator of Yobe Desert stars FC of Damaturu, National Officer of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN, in charge of Special Duties at Enyimba FC Aba, Member Strategic Studies Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF, interim board member of Nigeria National League NNL etc.

The seasoned Football Administrator who holds the traditional title of Nwachigoziri-1 of his community in Imo state, holds a bachelor's degree in Geography from the better by far University of Ilorin, Post graduate diploma in Journalism from the International institute of Journalism IIJ, Masters Degree in Public Administration University of Ilorin before enrolling for further post graduate studies at the centre for Peace and strategic Studies university of Ilorin.

He is one of the finest Football Administrators in Nigeria admired by all the stakeholders for his visionary, and intelligent commitment to Football, youths growth and development in Nigeria.

Club Owners pay Condolence visit to late ex Akwa United boss,Isong's family in Uyo.

The Football club Owners Association of Nigeria on Saturday sent a high powered delegation to the family of the former chairman of Akwa United FC late Isong Isang in Uyo.

The delegation was led by the General Manager of Rivers United FC Chief Dr. Okey Kpalukwu and were received on arrival by the family members of the deceased football Administrator.

Speaking during the visit, the leader of the delegation Dr. Okey Kpalukwu said the Association came to sympathise with the family for the loss of their beloved one who was also a frontline member of the Association.

He encouraged the family to take his death as the will of God and to be consoled that he lived a good life, even as he prayed for the repose of his soul.

Responding onbehalf of the family, the wife of the deceased, Mrs Ime Isong expressed appreciation to the Club Owners Association for remembering the family of their colleague.

She thanked them for the visit, the gifts to the family and prayed for the growth and development of football in Nigeria.

Other Members of the delegation included the Chairman of BOT and Lobi Stars boss Dominic Iorfa, General Manager of Gombe United FC Malam Abubakar Danfulani, Chairman of Dakkada FC Hon. Dickson Aniede, former chairman of MFM FC Godwin Enakhena, Executive Secretary of the Association Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka and the Chairman of Akwa United FC Elder Paul Bassey who was the chief host.

Highlights of the visit was the presentation of a condolence letter and the sum of One million naira to the family aside group photographs.

Club Owners congratulate Barr. Danladi on appointment as Permanent Secretary.

The Football Club Owners Association of Nigeria have sent a congratulatory message to the Chairman of the Association and Nasarawa United FC boss Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi on his appointment as a permanent Secretary in the Nasarawa state civil service.

Barr. Danladi, a seasoned Football Administrator per Excellence and a career civil servant was appointed as Permanent Secretary by His Excellency Governor Abdulahi Sule for his meritorious service to the state and an enduring commitment to the overall development of the state.

Danladi, a traditional Chieftaincy title holder of Dan Moren Karu has served the state in various capacities including being a pioneer member of Nasarawa United FC, moving the club to promotion to the NPFL aside helping the club play in CAF confederation cup and the FA cup final amongst others.

He has held prominent positions in Nigeria Football including member of the NFF Technical and Development Committee, longest serving chairman of the club owners Association of Nigeria and seasoned Match commissioner plus offering Legal services to the Football industry.

According to a statement by the club owners Association jointly signed by the Coordinator Prince Jude Anyadufu and the Executive Secretary Chief Alloy chukwuemeka, the Association charged him to see his new position as a recognition of his sacrifices and service delivery to humanity and urged him to be a good Ambassador of the club owners.

The Association assured him of total support and prayers for him to succeed in his new office which is the highest position in the civil service.

Club Owners congratulate Soname, Dare, Pinnick, others on Honours Awards.

The Football club owners Association of Nigeria have sent congratulatory messages to some of its members and other Football stakeholders who were recently conferred with Honours Awards of different categories.

The Proprietor of Remo stars FC and Architect of modern sports infrastructure and youths development, Hon. Kunle Soname was honored with the National Award of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic, OFR, former Minister of Youths and Sports Chief Sunday Dare got Commander of the order of the Niger, CON, former President of the NFF and member of FIFA council, Amaju Pinnick was honoured with Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic, OFR, Super Eagles prolific striker Victor Osimhen got Member of the Order of the Federal Republic , MFR, while the Chairman of the Rivers state Football Association Barr. Chris Green was honoured by the Rivers state government with Distinguished Service Star of Rivers state, DSSRS award .

Club Owners said the awards represent the recognitions of the recipients' unquantifiable contributions to sports development and youths emancipation in the country which had been noticed over the years by the government.

The Association charged the recipients to see the honours as a call to more commitments to service delivery to the Nation and as worthy Ambassadors of the sports sector.

Club owners congratulate Pius Henwan on elevation as Plateau state Director of Sports.

The Football club owners Association of Nigeria have sent a congratulatory message to one of its frontline members and General Manager of Plateau United FC Mr Pius Henwan on his elevation as the substantive Director of sports in the Plateau state sports council.

Mr Henwan, a seasoned Football Administrator and one of the strongest football stakeholders in the North central Nigeria was confirmed as the substantive Director of sports on Monday in Jos.

In a special goodwill message to the new DOS, club owners described his confirmation as a reflection of his many years of exemplary service to his state and Nigeria at large.

The New Director of sports had over the years made a remarkable impact in the development of sports in Plateau state aside taking Plateau United FC to win the league and participated in the CAF continental championships.

The Football Club Owners Association of Nigeria (Club Owners ) have sent a goodwill message to all the football stakeholders in Nigeria on the occasion of the Easter Celebration.

Christians all over the World will today celebrate the Easter festivity to mark the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

In an Easter message to its members and other football loving Nigerians , Club Owners urged the football stakeholders to use the Easter celebration to come together and work for the growth and development of football in Nigeria.

The goodwill message as contained in a statement jointly signed by its chairman Barr. Isaac Danladi and the Executive secretary Alloy Chukwuemeka also appreciated all the various Clubs in the League for their steadfastness, understanding, and commitment towards the growth and development of Football activities across the country, mostly the apex domestic league, the NPFL.

Club Owners enjoined its members and other Football stakeholders to support all the programs and innovations towards taking our Football to an enviable standard.

Club Owners mourn Late Referee Kingsley Nnaemeka.

The Football Club Owners Association of Nigeria have expressed deep shock over the tragic death of one the NFF accredited NPFL Referees late Dr. Kingsley Nnaemeka from Abia state.

Late Nnaemeka was an official in the just concluded NPFL match day 5 encounter between Nasarawa United FC versus Plateau United FC which ended 1-2 in Kaduna Wednesday.

The young Referee was said to have died in a ghastly motor accident on his way back from Kaduna along Lokoja - Enugu road.

Club Owners described his death as shocking and unfortunate as it had cut short his promising hubby as a Referee and his flourishing career as a young medical doctor.

The Association commiserated with his immediate family, the Abia state Football Association, Abia state Referees council, NRA, the IMC, as well as his colleagues and friends on his sudden demise.

According to a statement by the Association jointly signed by the Chairman Barr Isaac Danladi and the Executive Secretary Alloy Chukwuemeka, Club Owners prayed for the repose of his soul and for God to grant his immediate family and friends the fortitude to bear the loss.

The Football Club Owners Association of Nigeria (Club Owners), the umbrella body of Proprietors, Chairmen and Managers of top Professional Domestic football League Clubs in Nigeria have sent a special greetings to Football stakeholders in Nigeria especially the Christian Faithfuls as they celebrate Christmas.

Christians all over the World will today celebrate Christmas to mark the birthday of the Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.

Club Owners in a goodwill messages jointly signed by its chairman Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi and the Executive Secretary Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka enjoined the Christians to use the special occasion to pray fervently for the growth and development of the domestic league in Nigeria as well as safety of its players and officials against untimely deaths.

The Association specifically commended the Honourable Minister of youths and sports, Chief Sunday Dare for his fraternity with the Association and its recognition in the Football development Master plan as well as his creation of an Interim Management Committee IMC for the NPFL to restructure the league and lay a solid foundation for its growth and development.

Club Owners also used the Christmas festivities to congratulate the new Leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF led by Alh. Ibrahim Musa Gusau and commended his steps at reconciling all aggrieved parties in his quest to have a united Football family.

It extended its greetings to the Interim Management Committee IMC of the NPFL, who were mandated to restructure the league and lay a solid foundation for its future growth and development with assurance that the club owners would give them the necessary cooperation to succeed within its limited time frame.

Club Owners further sent warmly Christmas greetings to the Players Union, Coaches Association, the Sporting Media, the Clubs, Referees and Match commissioners,Match Delegates and Assessors, the Security agencies, supporters and fans as well as other stakeholders and wished them a Special Christmas blessings.

The Association however used the occasion to warn mischief makers and blackmailers who were hired by some toxic interests within the system to cause disaffection between the Association and other Football stakeholders, stressing that Football can only strive in an atmosphere of an enabling environment where negotiations and round table discussions are cherished.

It specifically mentioned a situation where MEMBER-CLUBS had in a joint meeting with the IMC unanimously voted for a full league with 16+1 votes, to 3 votes, and against a proposal for an abridged league, only for some group of persons to go behind to push for an abridged league which is a caricature of the NPFL, a league once adjudged as the number league in Africa.

Club Owners therefore wish to state unequivocally that the descision of the clubs on a full league format remains unchanged and hereby reject the proposed abridged league in its entirety, assuring that a full league format can still be completed within the normal time frame, with submissions of the CAF Competitions representatives and aligns the NPFL with the International Football calendar.

Club Owners salute Governor Wike for exemplary Rewards to Rivers United FC

The Football Club owners Association of Nigeria have sent a special goodwill message to the Executive Governor of Rivers state Barr. Nyesom Wike for his exemplary rewards to the players and officials of Rivers United Football Club .

Gov. Wike had on Friday in Porthacourt doled out a whooping twenty thousand US dollars to each of the players and officials of Rivers United FC in fulfillment of his promise to the club for winning the 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL title.

Club Owners Association of Nigeria in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi and the Executive Secretary Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka described the gesture as historic, unprecedented and quite commendable, capable of changing the fortunes of the affected beneficiaries and by extension their families.

The Association specifically praised the governor for his numerous support and commitment to sports development generally and Football in particular, through the establishment of the Real Madrid Football ACADEMY in Porthacourt, making Rivers United one of the best clubs in Africa amongst others.

It further said that the gesture had in no doubt proven that the Governor's title as the power of sports in Africa (POS) is not a fluke.

The Association assured him of its continous cooperation and recognition of his personality in all its toasts in the true spirit of sportsmanship.

Club Owners charged the players and officials of Rivers United FC to reciprocate the gesture by winning the CAF Confederation cup for Nigeria and to ensure proper investment of the Governor's largesse as there would life after Football career.
