BREAKING NEWS: From 2026, I don't want to see or hear anything about house/land agents in Ebonyi state, those agents are the reasons why house rent and shop rent keeps on going higher everyday. Agent will collect almost half a million just to show someone another person properties not even his own, I'm here for the good people of Ebonyi state.

All this things need to stop, don't collect shi-shi from anyone that's looking for accommodation from next year.

His Excellency, the builder himself Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, thank you so much Sir.

Supported I shout and after that, I wokeup and left.

After the announcement, His Excellency left, Abakaliki lands agents left, tenants left.

Anambra Assembly Passes Igbo Apprenticeship Bill (Igba Boi)

Anambra State House of Assembly has passed the Igbo Apprenticeship Bill into law, formally recognizing and regulating the traditional ā€œIgba Boiā€ system.

The law, which takes effect from September 10, 2025, seeks to promote entrepreneurship, create employment and boost economic development in the state.

According to the sponsor, Sir Ejike Okechukwu, the bill provides a framework to guide apprenticeship, ensuring fair treatment of apprentices and setting minimum standards for training.

The bill also establishes the Anambra State Igbo Apprenticeship Commission to keep a register of apprentices and handle disputes when they arise.

According to the bill, to qualify, an apprentice must have basic education, and the training period is not expected to exceed seven years, while it defines the rights and responsibilities of both mentors and apprentices to ensure balance, fairness, and accountability.

The Speaker, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze commended the lead sponsor, Sir Ejike, and the Joint House Committee on Trade, Commerce and Industry, as well as Committee on Judiciary and Justice for their efforts in passing the Bill

WHEN STORING CEMENT , KNOW THIS.

Before You Buy Cement In Bulk For Your Project, Read This.

Many people don’t know this, but cement is not like rice or garri that you can just keep in your store for years and expect the same quality. Cement is a ā€œlivingā€ material that reacts with air and moisture even when you haven’t mixed it with water yet.

Here’s what happens when you keep cement for too long:

1. Moisture Attack – Cement loves to ā€œdrinkā€ water from the air. Even small dampness makes it start reacting inside the bag. That’s why you see lumps. Those lumps are already ā€œdeadā€ and won’t work again on site.

2. Air Reaction – The carbon dioxide in the air slowly turns cement into powdery stone (calcium carbonate). Once this happens, the cement loses its binding power.

3. Time Factor – Even when you store it well:

After 3 months, it can lose around 20% of its strength.

After 6 months, up to 40%.

After 1 year, it may lose half or all of its power.

That’s why a house built with old cement is more likely to crack or fail.

How to keep cement strong while in storage:

Store in a dry place, off the ground.

Put on wooden pallets, not directly on the floor.

Keep away from walls and cover with nylon or tarpaulin.

Use old stock first before new ones (FIFO).

Cement is the backbone of your building. Don’t joke with it.

This is Chinua Achebe’s office at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, preserved exactly as he left it 13 years ago.

The table, the typewriter, the cupboard, the framed pictures… untouched. The air in this room still carries the weight of his words.

Since his passing on March 21, 2013, the university has kept it frozen in time as a living memorial to the man who gave the world Things Fall Apart and put Igbo literature on the global map.

From Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie to countless admirers, many have stood in this space in awe.

Achebe’s legacy still speaks here; softly, powerfully, endlessly.

THE POWER OF UMU ADA, THE IGBO SUPER FORCE.

20 or more decades to come, this story will be told to our children children even to the fifth generation, that ndi Umuada of a certain kingdom embarked on a peaceful demonstration to restore peace in their land, on getting to a certain Kingā€˜s Palace, he could not listen or attend to them, but willingly and voluntarily locked his gate against them which got the ndi Umuada pi**ed 😠 off, and they started to unleash their anger on him. They started throwing palm fronts, green leaves, plantain leaves at his doorstep, some urinated at his doorstep while singing (ometere buru) which means, anything you did, you must carry it with your head. Could it be that the king is against peace? Could it be that the king doesn’t like seeing ndi Umuada 🤣 or could it be that the king🤓 has eating what he’s not supposed to have eaten? If yes , does it mean that this anger unleashed by ndi Umuada to this king could have a traditional repercussion on him or to anyone from his lineage by the gods? But what if the king apologizes and change his ways, will he be forgiven by the gods or by ndi Umuada?

Moral lesson to everyone, whether you’re a king or not, don’t underrate the power of a woman, especially when they have this title attached to their names (Nwa ada) be very very careful on how you deal with a woman! Women are gods!
Ndi Umuada are poweful šŸ’ŖšŸ’ŖšŸ’ŖšŸ’ŖšŸ’Ŗļæ¼
