Safe to Speak: Abia Makes Room for Survivors to Heal
A room where survivors can finally exhale.
Governor Alex Otti has signed the Abia Centre for Rehabilitation of Survivors of R**e Bill into Law.
This isn’t just about punishment. It’s about what happens AFTER.
It’s about counseling when the court case ends.
It’s about medical care without shame.
It’s about a place that believes you the first time.
For too long, survivors have been told to keep quiet to “protect family name,” “avoid stigma,” or because “nothing will change.”
A law like this says: *Your voice matters. Your healing matters. You are safe to speak here.*
