Press release

On behalf of members and other passionate Nigerians on the platform of , we hereby make the following resolutions in reaction to the statement made by the presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu who we hold in high esteem.

Our resolutions are;

We are volunteers and not dubious fraudsters as alleged
We are not funded by any individual, political association or group from within and outside the country.

We are not in any way using the name of Mr President for commercial purpose(s), rather we are passionate about the name because it is trending worldwide, as President Muhammadu Buhari, the Commander in Chief of the armed forces of our dear country.

It is completely unbecoming, unprofessional, and unethical of a person who speaks on behalf of Mr. President to use the word "Dubious" to describe thousands of Nigerians who voted for the President at the last dispensation.

We are inspired by the key agenda of Mr President which are; war against corruption, treasury single account (TSA) and fight against insurgency in the north east, and also bridging the information gap between the federal government and the masses through well articulated programs.

It is curious to note that the next day after Garba Shehu denounced our organisation, he announced that the Government would be embarking on programs very similar to those presented in our organisation's manifesto.

It is also suspicious to us that Garba Shehu denounced the organisation based on the earlier planned 9 million man March which had been suspended by the Ag. National coordinator of our organisation. This made his reference to us as "praise singers” needless and malicious. It is also suspicious that after denouncing our organization, a separate group let a march to the presidential Villa on the same day (March 31st) we intended to but he did not denounce them, neither did he denounce another group who marched to EFCC a few weeks ago using the name .

As responsible Nigerians, we agreed to use the social media and our state structures to promote these policies in reaction to an earlier opposition group claiming to organise a one million march against Mr President, and to counter and organise a mega rally of nine million Nigerians in support of the fight against corruption.

We were of utmost conviction that any plan to stop and frustrate this initiative should be resisted as we see it as corruption fighting back. It must also be stated herein that our organisation operated within confines and dictates of the Law of our dear Nation.

To this end we challenge the office of the Senior Special Assistant to Mr President on Media and Publicity within seven days of this publication, to publish the names of any one in our team that has been prosecuted and convicted by the court of law for any act of corruption or fraud.
If he fails to fulfil this obligation and heed to our demand, we shall take this issue up legally.

This is to serve as a notice to him to retract those allegations upon us and a
seven- day grace period to do such.

With such spurious, and unconfirmed allegations by a representative of a Public Office holder, a lot of our members have been threatened, embarrassed and harassed and will resist any attempt to malign or intimidate anyone associated with the organisation in this era of rule of law.

We acknowledge that no more than a few individuals in our leadership may have questionable allegiances but this is in NO way enough ground to term thousands of our members "Dubious". This is a clear instance of defamation of character.

That is our position on the matter, as Mr President is not there through an executive fiat but by the votes of Nigerians.

All other similar organizations should take note because corruption is fighting back right from the office of Mr President. We can never be intimidated.

All Zonal and State coordinators

Tambuwal Fishbone In The PDP Throat

'Bone in the Throat' by celebrity chef, Anthony Bourdain, is a novel, a gritty fast-paced story about a young ambitious chef who is mixed up with the East End London mob. While showing off his culinary skills, he finds himself trapped as a witness to a murder in his own kitchen. Getting a bone stuck in the throat is very painful and uncomfortable. Fish eaters who happen to get fishbone stuck in their throat generally decide to just wait till the bone gets dislodged on its own or try to get rid of the fishbone using different techniques. A bone is a calcified substance and a rigid connective tissue that makes up the skeleton of vertebrates. How can the Presidency and PDP get rid of Tambuwal fishbone in their throat? They waited on him to make his move, and he made that move, and what a move Tambuwal made.

I prefer the delicacy called goat head or 'isi ewu' to fish whether as pepper soup or barbecued fish simply because the goat head bone is stronger and un-chewable and you just lick and suck but fishbone? It is a slender, delicate and hooky tissue capable of leading to a throat operation to remove it if not properly handled. On Tuesday October 28, 2014 the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal decamped from the ruling PDP to the opposition APC. Citing the division of the Sokoto State chapter of the PDP, Tambuwal abandoned the PDP and pitched his tent with the APC. It should have been “To your Tents, O Israel!” according to 1 Kings 12:16 in the Bible but the duo of the presidency and PDP decided to eat fish and there is no fish without fishbone.
Without warning, in the dead of night, the police withdrew Tambuwal’s security detail citing the Constitution, the ‘Grundnorm’. The Austrian jurist and legal/political philosopher, Hans Kelsen, coined the term to refer to the fundamental norm, order, or rule that forms an underlying basis for a legal/political system. The police decided to interpret the Constitution and I wondered whether the lawmakers or Hans Kelsen had stopped the judiciary from performing that legal chore.

The PDP spokesman, Olisa Metuh, told Tambuwal to do the needful and resign, citing a lone section in the Constitution, ignoring its attendant/accompanying conditions which must be met in order to uphold the tenets of the Grundnorm. The storm was gathering and chef Anthony Bourdain was in Wadata House kitchen preparing his cuisine, a culinary of fish pepper soup. The duo’s appetite for fish is amazing as they prepared to eat fish pepper soup. Meanwhile as the fish became soft and tender from the cooking, the fishbone remained a rigid connective tissue. Tambuwal suddenly drove himself to the National Assembly complex in his personal SUV beaming with smiles and media photographers snapped; the duo planned and plotted.

The fish pepper soup was now ready and the duo ate and savoured the fish with the fishbone. On Thursday 20 November, 2014 there was commotion at the National Assembly complex when officers of the Nigerian Police Force prevented Tambuwal from gaining access to the House chambers to preside over proceedings on the President’s request for emergency rule extension in the states of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe to enable the military continue to combat Boko Haram. As the police refused to open the gate, some honourable lawmakers metamorphosed to cat burglars, jumping gates, somersaulting and landing like Tiv cat dancers in a festival. They forced gates open allowing the Speaker to gain entry into the green chamber where some of them, shaking with anger, signed to impeach the president.

The fishbone is about to slide down the throat. On Wednesday November 26, 2014 the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Suleiman Abba, appeared before the House Committee on Police Affairs and this dialogue ensued: “Is Aminu Tambuwal the Speaker of the House of Representatives or not?” queried Hon. Usman Kurmo, Chairman, House Committee on Police Affairs. “Chairman you know that matters before the court are sub judice, commenting on them is sub judice until they are disposed of” the IGP shot back forcing Kurmo to end the session abruptly. As the IGP interpreted the Constitution for the judiciary, Tambuwal fishbone hooked the Presidency/PDP throat and will not get to dislodge on its own. Tambuwal fishbone inflicted sore throat on the Presidency/PDP throat causing legal/judicial/political/constitutional pharyngitis and changed Nigeria’s Parliament forever as 2015 looms in the horizon.
