Back in Nigeria, I was always on my toes because my husband wasn't there, so it was me most of the time. I remember one night my baby was sick and couldn't breathe; I drove like a madman to the hospital. The doctor said it was a critical condition, and we should rush him to FMC because he needed oxygen. We left the first hospital and drove to FMC, and my baby was almost gone. I cried my eyes out. Thank God for the nurses on duty that night; they didn't wait for me to get a card, unlike others. They started doing what they knew how to do best.

When you're praying for a husband, try to be specific about what you want and stand on it, because it wasn't as simple as it looks. Back in Nigeria, I appeared strong, always smiling, and minding my business, creating my content, but no one knew the pain behind the scenes. Plenty of nights, I slept scared because I was the only one at home with the kids, and if you knew where I lived, there was no security. Thank God for my siblings; they literally turned into my support system. My friend's daughter even started calling my brother "Esther's Husband" 😂.

Thank God that's in the past now, but oh, I saw unspeakable struggles, especially with my son's health. Every pressure came directly to me before I even shared it with the man who was thousands of miles away. God can be trusted 🙌.
