A popular elderly woman known for selling akara and bread along Ani Street, Ikom–Obudu Road,Cross River State was allegedly caught today mixing human fàeces ( p00-p00) with the beans she uses to fry akara for sale to the public.

According to reports, some customers became suspicious and demanded that she open a container she was hiding. After she allegedly refused, the container was forcefully opened, revealing its contents to the crowd.

Witnesses claimed that when questioned, she said she had been doing it for a long time to attract more customers.

A heartbreaking incident in Abakaliki has left many Nigerians in shock.

A man identified as Samuel Chidi is being accused of refusing to take his wife to the hospital despite her going into labour and reportedly experiencing severe bleeding.

According to reports, the woman was left in agonizing pain for hours inside their room. Neighbours claim there was even a nurse living in the same compound who could have been contacted, but help allegedly never came.

By the time anyone realized the severity of the situation, it was too late.

A mother was gone.

A newborn child was left behind.

A family was shattered.

What makes the story even more disturbing is that the deceased had reportedly delivered her previous children through Caesarean section, making many wonder why emergency medical care was not immediately sought.

The husband has since been taken into police custody while investigations continue.

If these allegations are true, then this was more than a tragedy—it was a preventable one.
