Joseph Aloba, the father of late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba (Mohbad), has petitioned the Lagos State Government and the Attorney General to prosecute those implicated in his son’s death — including Mohbad’s wife, Omowunmi, and the auxiliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe.

According to reports, the petition cites the Coroner’s inquest findings delivered on July 11, 2025, which described the nurse’s actions as “unlawful and professionally negligent” and faulted the decision to treat Mohbad at home instead of seeking proper medical care.

Mr. Aloba is demanding that the state take legal action within 14 days, or grant him official permission to prosecute the suspects himself.

However, Omowunmi’s legal team has dismissed the petition as “laughable,” maintaining that she was not indicted by the court and accusing Aloba of having ulterior motives.

The call for justice continues, as Nigerians await further action from the authorities.
