My pipo, una see as tailor life be? E no easy o! Na so one customer waka enter my shop with one fine material wey shine pass church pulpit. She drop am for table, look me for eye and talk, “Oga, abeg run am sharp sharp, I get owambe this weekend.”

As I measure the cloth, e be like say the material dey look me back. I talk to myself, “Na small thing be this. Just cut, sew, and collect balance.”

But na so wahala take start. I carry tape measure customer waist, the thing show 34. After sewing I measure the cloth, the cloth dey show 26. I come scratch head—“Cloth no enter keh?

Na there tailor spirit kick in. I bend, I think, I squeeze face, I even press calculator join—still, cloth no gree add up.

My people, na so tailor dey always suffer in silence. We no dey talk am, but many time, cloth wey customer bring no dey match their body at all. Dem go buy one yard wey fit pikin, but dem wan make e cover their destiny.

So if you ever see tailor sit down dey hold cheek like say life don tire am, no worry—na cloth wey no wan enter e don meet.
