Imo governor approves N104K new minimum wage for workers

The Imo State Government has approved a new minimum wage of N104,000 for civil servants.

1.9M Nigerians applied for NIS, NSCDC, FFS, and NCS

Data from the Central Database of Civil Service Federal Integrated Board (CDCFIB) has revealed that not less than 1,910,539 Nigerian applied for its ongoing recruitment exercise to fill only 30,000 vacancies.

According to the data, Kogi State has the highest number of applicants with 116,124 applications, followed closely by Kaduna (114,500), Benue (110,525), Kano (89,355), and Niger (79,504).

In contrast, Bayelsa recorded the lowest number of applicants at 11,669, trailed by Lagos (14,215), Rivers (22,207), Ebonyi (23,601), and Delta (27,956).

By geopolitical zone, the north central led the application figure, followed by the north west, and the north east.

The south east put in the lowest number of applications, followed by the south south and the south west receptively.
