So this morning my toddler was trying to take his first nap but he was taking time cos I needed to do some chores.
After a while, he became really drowsy but still wouldn't sleep until he entwined his fingers with mine and started sleeping almost immediately!
Right there in my spirit I heard God telling me that this is what He desires from me! 'Hold my hand and let go completely! I will always hold you'.
Of course this isn't the first time I have heard this but it hit differently this time because I saw it demonstrated by my baby! The lesson was so profound!
I'm sharing this experience because I believe someone needs to be reminded that God's got you ALWAYS! Just hold on to Him and let go completely! He'll never leave nor forsake you!

*BREAKING: Former President Muhammadu Buhari Passes Away in London*

Nigeria is in mourning following the announcement of the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.

According to a statement signed by Garba Shehu, a longtime spokesperson of the former president, Buhari passed away this afternoon at a clinic in London.

The statement, issued on behalf of the family, did not disclose the cause of death.

The message read:
“INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAIHIRRAJIUUN. The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London. May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin.”

Buhari, who served as Nigeria’s military Head of State from 1983 to 1985 and later as a democratically elected President from 2015 to 2023, was known for his anti-corruption stance and efforts to reposition Nigeria’s economy and security architecture.

Tributes are expected to pour in from across the country and the international community in the coming hours as Nigerians reflect on the life and legacy of the former leader.

Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.

TIMILEYIN AJAYI SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR MURDER

A High Court in Lafia, Nasarawa State, has sentenced 31-year-old gospel singer Timileyin Ajayi to death by hanging for the murder of Salome Adaidu, a female corps member. Justice Simon Aboki delivered the verdict after finding Ajayi guilty of culpable homicide.

The court had heard the case, which was originally brought by the police and later taken over by the Nasarawa State Government. Ajayi was charged with one count of culpable homicide, an offense punishable by death under Section 221 of the Penal Code.

Despite pleading not guilty, Ajayi was convicted based on overwhelming evidence presented by the prosecution. The evidence included videos of the victim's dismembered body, a cutlass, knives, and other items.

The victim's uncle, Samson Adaidu, expressed satisfaction with the judgment, thanking Nigerians for their support throughout the trial. Ajayi's lawyer noted that they would appeal the ruling, while the prosecuting counsel commended the court for upholding justice.

Ajayi has 90 days to appeal the court's decision.

° Men, if you're married, know that your wife and children are your immediate family.

° Always prioritise your immediate family.

° Be a PRESENT parent to your children. If her father wasn't consistently in touch, she may have assumed 'it was his way'. Six months silence was too much though! I was wondering why it took that long....who knows the kind of relationship he had with his children? Remember he and the wife already separated.

° Do not give power of attorney to your siblings when you have a wife/child(ren). There has to be someone to consider within your immediate family! There are exceptions in some cases though. But where there's none, please do the right thing! E get why!

° He got a second chance! You might not be lucky! Make the necessary changes today to avoid stories that touch the heart!
