Chelsea will host Jack Wilshere's Luton Town, while Tottenham welcome Charlton Athletic in a London derby, as the 11 Premier League sides who avoided Europe this season joined the first-round winners in Monday's draw.
Other notable ties include Fulham hosting League One's AFC Wimbledon, and Brentford facing a tricky trip to Birmingham. The Devon derby winner (Plymouth or Exeter) gets Coventry at home, while West Ham travel to fellow Championship side Southampton.
In the north, Newcastle were handed West Brom at St James' Park, Leeds face an all-Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest, and Everton travel to Preston. As with round one, the draw was split into Northern and Southern sections, with ties played the week of August 24.
The remaining top-flight clubs enter in round three, split across weeks commencing September 7 (non-European teams) and September 14

Aston Villa have made an enquiry over Jonathan David's situation at Juventus, a move that could prove crucial to Juventus' own attacking plans.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Unai Emery's side have sounded out David's availability and are exploring the feasibility of a loan deal, though formal talks haven't started yet.
The timing suits Juventus. Sporting directors Carnevali and Massara want a new striker for Spalletti, but need to sell David first to fund it โ€” with Zirkzee identified as the top target. The Man United forward's ability to drop deep and link play would complement Kolo Muani rather than duplicate his role, and United have already signalled openness to a loan.
David's first season in Turin was underwhelming โ€” just 8 goals after arriving from Lille on a free. He was often a bench option under Tudor, improved under Spalletti, and then scored 3 goals for Canada at the World Cup, which is the form Villa hope to revive.
