Although with a degree in Computer Engineering, he has strong interest in ‘Africa-Activism’ which fuels his campaign for change in Nigeria through a referendum. He believes that the de-amalgamation of Nigeria will force the much needed change not only within the regions, but the African continent. It begins with the decision of the people- a referendum. In his words: “I have dedicated myself to th
e fight for the liberation of Africa and the black man from the shackles of white economic imperialism, black inferiority, indiscipline and other elements that negates the relevance of Africa on the world stage”. Emenike Aka is a Biafran (de-facto) and believes that change in Africa will begin from Nigeria and there will be little or no change in Nigeria until Biafra becomes a separate entity. His words: “I do not want Biafra because we feel marginalized or subjugated by a larger entity or because I want to achieve the dreams of my fore-fathers but because I know that Biafra is the black root of change and if it does not exist, then Nigeria will remain in clutches and so will the rest of Africa.”
Emenike Aka is a teacher, life coach, writer and author of ‘In the Pursuit of my Dreams’ (available soon in libraries and book stores worldwide). Whichever part of Africa you may be from, you must accept that Africa is hanging by a thread. We are poor, we are under-developed, we are ignorant and worse, we have a low self-esteem.
“Many Africans believe the white man is supreme”
We believe he is better, brighter, more intelligent and more powerful…and so we naturally dependent. Dependent on his phones, his cars, his technology, his politics, his education and all he has to sell to us. We have little or nothing to offer the world. We are on the receiving end and when you have nothing to offer, you are treated without dignity, respect or honor. Many call it racism, prejudice, chauvinism, discrimination, and what have you but we are treated that way simply because we have no value for the world. This feature has made the white man stronger and more powerful with a sense of command over us. ENOUGH AFRICA
It is time to stop. It is time to strive on our own and build us to become independent, to become self reliant, to become powerful. You may not be able to do, but you surely are able to talk for the least you can do is talk.
