**Statement Calling for an Emergency Summit of Northern Leaders**

My most distinguished leaders and colleagues,

I wish to appeal to our conscience regarding the state of our affairs in Northern Nigeria. As a matter of urgency and necessity, I propose that we convoke an emergency summit comprising the Vice President, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Deputy Senate President, all Northern Governors, Senators, Members of the House of Representatives, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Honorable Ministers, Speakers of the House of Assembly of the 19 Northern States, and leaders of thought, including recognized youth group leaders.

This conference aims to find holistic, common solutions to the numerous challenges facing Northern Nigeria in all facets, such as security, education, agriculture and food security, and socio-economic development.

We must rise to face these challenges head-on, without any discrimination or sentiment. Today, God has bestowed upon us these responsibilities, for which we must one day account for our actions and inactions. As leaders, we will be judged both in this life and in the hereafter by our deeds.

We have the potential to be the reengineered architects of a new Northern Nigeria, which in turn will contribute to making Nigeria greater, renewing the hopes of our people. We must rally to support our dear President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, in his quest to rediscover Nigeria and make it one of the most prosperous and advanced nations of the world. The North have one option and that is to key into the Renewed Hope vision of the present democratic government for the good of our people and future.

I submit this as my suggestion for my respected colleagues to consider.

No Muslim will kill you if you say Yeshua, whom you erroneously call Jesus, is the way to God. They believe that He is a Prophet. They believe that He is the Messiah. The only reason for which a true Muslim will kill you is if you blaspheme the Name of Allah (SWT), or prophet Muhammad, Salla Allahu Alayhi Wasalaam, or engage in homosexuality, murder, etc.

Muslim Ottomans ruled Jerusalem for 400 years, between 1517 and 1917. Ask yourself how many Christians they killed. Zero. During their rule, they allowed the building of churches in Jerusalem, they ensured peaceful religious coexistence, and when Catholic Europe expelled all Jews, the Ottomans and the Moors gave the Jews asylum in Istanbul and Morocco.

The Ottomans also ruled modern day Greece and much of Balkan Europe. How many of them did they forcefully convert to Islam? Compare their behaviour to the Catholics who defeated Muslims in Spain and almost wiped all traces of them from Europe.

And since Christian Europeans took over Jerusalem and Palestine in 1917, has there been peace? Are Muslims safe there? Is there peaceful coexistence?

Research and investigate. Don't just swallow everything Oyibo tells you!

Good evening Nigerians - Home and abroad,

Today, in unity with my friend, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, we have initiated a new era of collaboration and friendship between our nations - Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates.

We've also laid a robust foundation for substantial investments in various sectors in Nigeria, a testament to our shared vision for a prosperous future.

Together, we are committed to building bridges and fostering a friendship that stands the test of time. As part of our discussions, the following have been reached:

1. Immediate lifting of the visa ban placed on Nigerian travelers by the UAE.

2. Resumption of flight schedules into and out of Nigeria by Etihad Airlines and Emirates Airlines, without any immediate payment required from the Nigerian government.

3. An agreed framework for new investments worth several billions of U.S. dollars into the Nigerian economy by the UAE government, covering multiple sectors including defense and agriculture.

4. A new joint foreign exchange liquidity programme between Nigeria and the UAE, details of which will be announced in the coming weeks.

5. A commitment to normalize and enhance the relations between the two countries, fostered by the collaboration between myself and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Today, I traveled to Argungu, Kebbi State on a condolence visit to the family of late Sheikh Abubakar Giro.

I visited the family of the late Islamic scholar on behalf of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

President Bola Tinubu called me from India and directed that I should come to Argungu to commiserate with the family of the respected Sheikh, government and people of Kebbi State and the north in general.

Late Sheikh Abubakar Giro was a respected scholar. He worked for God, he didn't bother about things of the world he lived a humble life.

May God forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternity.

“Niger Republic is at our backyard and Nigeria should not join ECOWAS’ plan of military invasion. If the US, France and UK want war in Niger, they can send their own people. Nigeria can support with finance but not with our soldiers. No Nigerian soldier deserves to die in another country because of war. Fighting a war in Niger Republic is not necessary as no one is sure of the sponsors and how it would end. Nigeria, US and France can intervene in Niger by giving them between one year and six months to hand over to a new government. If ECOWAS would cost Nigeria the peace it needs, there is nothing wrong pulling out of ECOWAS. Nigerian is a sovereign nation and the concerns of its people matters most.”

Congratulations to the newly-inaugurated Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa; Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt-General Taoreed Lagbaja; Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar; and Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla.

Their emergence is a testament to their valour, patriotism, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's unwavering faith in their capability to lead their respective organizations and deliver on our promise to keep Nigeria safe.
