💔When I was 16 years old, my father asked me to leave home because he and his new wife wanted privacy. She said my presence reminded her of my late mother, and from that day on, I was no longer welcome. After I left, my father cut off contact completely. No support, no visits, no phone calls. Thankfully, my grandmother took me in and raised me until I finished college. She became my biggest source of love and stability. Sadly, she passed away last month. My father didn’t even attend her funeral. Now, out of nowhere, he has reappeared and is interested in the house my grandmother left to me in her will. He says I’m too young to live alone and wants me to take the $8,000 she also left me and hand over the house to him because he has a large family to care for. After years of silence, I’m struggling to understand why he suddenly wants to be involved in my life.
