Mourns the Passing of President Muhammadu Buhari – A Man of Honor, Character, and Integrity
Abuja, Nigeria –14th July 2025
It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that the Movement joins millions of Nigerians and well-wishers around the world to mourn the passing of our beloved former President, Muhammadu Buhari – a man who embodied honor, discipline, and unshakable integrity.
President Buhari was not just a political leader; he was a symbol of national conscience, a soldier-statesman who served Nigeria with unwavering commitment and selflessness. Throughout his life, both in and out of office, he remained steadfast in his values, known for his frugality, simplicity, and incorruptible stance in public service.
His famous words, “I came into the world with nothing, and I will leave with nothing, so why should I steal?” continue to echo across generations, a powerful reminder of the values he held dear – humility, accountability, and service to the people.
From his early days in the Nigerian Army to his leadership as Head of State in the 1980s, and later as a democratically elected President, Buhari was a patriot to the core. He led with purpose, driven not by personal gain, but by a burning desire to see Nigeria rid of corruption, insurgency, and economic instability. His fight for a more transparent and secure nation earned him both admiration and respect at home and abroad.
As we reflect on his legacy, we celebrate a man who never wavered in his mission to build a better Nigeria. His administration laid a solid foundation in infrastructure, agriculture, anti-corruption, and national reorientation. Even in the face of criticism, President Buhari remained calm, focused, and determined — ever guided by his conscience and love for country.
To the Buhari family, we extend our deepest condolences and prayers. May the Almighty comfort you and grant our dear leader eternal rest.
The Movement remains committed to upholding the values he lived and died for — patriotism, integrity, and service to Nigeria.
President Muhammadu Buhari is gone, but his legacy lives on.
