If I Had to Start From Scratch

If I lost everything today, no followers, no clients, and had to start from scratch, here’s exactly what I would do.

First, I would take a deep breath. I won't panic, i
I won't complain.

I'll just breathe.

Because starting over doesn’t mean I failed; it means I’ve been given a chance to build smarter this time.

I would pick one skill. Just one thing I’m good at, that one skill would be my starting point.

Then, I would show up online every single day. I wouldn’t wait to be perfect. I’d use my phone, talk to people, post content that speaks to their everyday struggles. I’d tell stories not just about wins, but about the struggles, the late nights, the doubts. Because people connect with real.

I wouldn’t focus on likes. I’d focus on conversations. I’d message people; genuinely, offer help, ask questions, and follow up like my life depends on it, because it would.

And this time, I wouldn’t try to do it all alone. I’d find a tribe, online groups, accountability partners, business mentors, people who are also building from scratch. I’d learn from them, share with them, and grow with them.

If I had to start over, I wouldn’t chase shiny things, I’d build trust. I’d offer value. And I’d remind myself daily "Consistency beats talent, and connection beats perfection."

So if you’re starting from scratch right now, you’re not behind. You’re just at the beginning of your comeback story.

And it’s going to be powerful. 🔥

Social media undoubtedly offers many benefits, but one significant downside is how it has shaped our reactions to others’ misfortunes.

Instead of pausing to reflect or empathize, we’re often quick to laugh, share, or sensationalize what someone else is going through.

The culture of instant content has made it easy to turn pain into entertainment.

Phrases like “I posted it first,” “I have the video,” and “I broke the news” have become badges of honor online.

Sadly, they often reflect how far we've drifted from empathy and wisdom. Rather than drawing lessons from someone’s mistakes or downfall, we rush to be part of the viral moment.

This is a gentle reminder for both you and me that we can choose differently. When we witness the fall of others, especially those who were once celebrated, let's choose to learn instead of laugh.

May this mindset guide us into a more thoughtful and productive week ahead.
