📖 LOVE NOT THE WORLD

"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world." — 1 John 2:15

Many people misunderstand this verse. God is not telling us to hate people or despise His creation. Rather, He is warning us not to fall in love with a lifestyle that pushes Him out of our hearts.

The Bible says that all that is in the world consists of:

🔥 The Lust of the Flesh
Living only to satisfy sinful desires and pleasures.

👀 The Lust of the Eyes
Always wanting what others have, chasing possessions, money, and material things.

👑 The Pride of Life
Trusting in status, achievements, titles, and possessions instead of God.

The world says:
❌ Follow your feelings.
❌ Get rich at any cost.
❌ Promote yourself.
❌ Live for pleasure.

But God says:
✅ Deny yourself.
✅ Follow Christ.
✅ Seek first the Kingdom of God.
✅ Store up treasures in heaven.

The tragedy is not having things; the tragedy is when things have you.

A car is not wrong.
A house is not wrong.
Money is not wrong.

But when these become more important than God, the love of the world has entered the heart.

Ask yourself today:
• What occupies my thoughts the most?
• What am I pursuing with all my strength?
• If God asked me to let it go, could I?

This world is passing away, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

🙏 Lord, help me to live in the world without letting the world live in me.
