The RISING And Struggles of MISH

Yesterday, Saturday 25th February 2024, the remains of MISH, Akwa Ibom legendary singer of the popular song "Akwa Ibom Ayaya" was laid to rest after a private burial service organized by the congregation of the Jehovah's Witness in Abuja, a congregation he was a member till his death. Some of his friends and associates who couldn't travel to Abuja joined the private service via Zoom.

It's interesting to note that the venturing of MISH into Music didn't receive the support of his father, an educator from Ibiono Ibom, who has lived all his life in Port Harcourt. MISH and other siblings were all born and brought up in Port Harcourt by their father after their Mum abandoned them as kids.

MISH came from a family of 4 and happened to be the firstborn of the family. He was a graduate of the prestigious University of Port Harcourt. Around 2012/2013 or thereabouts, he moved from Port Harcourt to Abuja where he did the "Akwa Ibom Ayaya" song that brought him to the limelight.

For personal reasons and against the backdrop of the religious orientations as JWs, the musical project of MISH didn't receive the support of MISH's father but regardless MISH went on with the project and it became a very successful and celebrated song within and beyond Akwa Ibom State.

After the release of the music, MISH travelled to the USA to further his educational career and was later diagnosed with a stroke, a health condition that ruined his academic pursuit, this brought him back to Nigeria and kept him off the public for years.

Returning to Nigeria, through medical and herbal interventions, MISH's health conditions were effectively managed such that he was almost fine again. He got married to a Benin lady, and together they had a child but the lady later dumped him as his health deteriorated more day by day.

MISH lived a life of pain and dejection by the public. All he had around him all these years were his family and a few close pals who made sure he was fine for them and managed to keep him off the public as much as possible.

Sadly, MISH passed after a recent surgery in Abuja. A wrong diagnosis suggested he had an appendix but upon the operation, it wasn't an appendix but a health compliment resulting from the stroke he had. Well, the operation was successfully carried out and the family spent millions on it but the need for blood transfusion became an issue as it was against their faith and religious beliefs as Jehovah's Witnesses.

The story of MISH has been a very sad and very heartbreaking one as he wasted all he ever made from his hint single "Akwa Ibom Ayaya" on his health struggles between 2015 to when he passed on recently. His health crisis has also caused his father and siblings millions of naira yet they still lose him to the cold hands of death. His father lost a private school he built and ran in Port Harcourt still because of the health condition of this our legend. May God comfort this man. He tried his best as a Father! 🙏 But sadly he had to bear the pains of watching his first blood covered in dust yesterday. A sight no father should behold.😭

Kindly remember this family in your prayers, they have gone through so much in the last almost 10 years.
May His Soul Continue to REST IN PEACE.

Amen

THE GUY ON GREEN

- He lost his mother at a young age

- His father lost his job 3 months after he lost his wife

- He was rejected by many clubs but today is one of BEST players in the world and it started with 15 MINUTES

A TOUGH START!

He was the last amongst 7 kids but he didn’t get the special treatment given to “Last Borns” in Nigerian homes.

He rather joined his elder siblings in hustling to make sure they survived, he hawked “Pure water” along Ojota road, Lagos State.

A BORN HUSTLER!

His siblings sold newspapers & sold oranges on the street, it was a family united in making sure they survived.

He lived in one of Lagos state’s biggest refuse dump sites in Olusosun but that didn't stop the young boy from dreaming, in fact he dreamt big!

DREAM BIG, IT’S FREE!

His father wanted him to become a doctor but he dropped out of school to pursue his dream of becoming a footballer and his father supported him.

He played street football and was a youth player of the then Ultimate Strikers Academy, but he never played.

PERSONALIZE YOUR DREAM!

In 2014 at age 16 he went for the Nigeria Under-17 team screening held in Abuja by coach Amuneke.

More than 2million players were in the Abuja stadium and they were both given 15 MINUTES to impress.

In 15 MINUTES he scored 2 goals!

“LUCK IS WHEN OPPORTUNITY MEETS PREPARATION”

It wasn’t enough as the tired Amuneke sent him and the others away.

But as they left, he heard Nigeria team doctor telling the coach Amuneke to try out "The guy on green"

Coach Amuneke turned and called out "The guy on green!!!", he turned because he wore green, ran back and the coach teased him saying, “You no dey chop?, why you lean like this, sit down!".

“MAY OUR DESTINY HELPERS NEVER MISS US”

And that was how he got selected into the Under-17 WC team, he later went on to win the following;

• 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup
• 2015 FIFA U-17 Golden Boot (Highest Goal Scorer)
• 2015 FIFA Silver shoe award (Second Best Player)

Then the European bigs clubs came calling.

He’s now the African with the Most Goals scored in a single Serie A season breaking Samuel Eto’s record.

HE BECAME THE PRINCE OF NAPLES!!!

John Ogu called him a beast with a lion’s heart.

Odion Ighalo called him the crown Prince to the throne of Nigerian attackers.

He is one the hottest top prospects in world football at the moment

He is VICTOR JAMES OSIMHEN
Dream big and never stop trying.

Copied.

Meet the tribe where women are brutally flogged for marriage (Scars of love).

Hamar people are a community inhabiting southwestern Ethiopia. They live in Hamer woreda a fertile part of the Omo River valley, in the Debub Omo Zone of the Southern Nations. They are largely pastoralists, so their culture places a high value on cattle.

In the tradition known as Ukuli Bula, women are whipped as part of a Rite of Passage ceremony for boys, when female family members declare their love for the young man at the heart of the celebration. The boy is then allowed to marry since the ceremony makes him a man.

A key element of the ceremony is the whipping of young women who are family members or relatives of the boy undertaking the Rite-of-Passage.
The women trumpet and sing, extolling the virtues of the Jumper, declaring their love for him and for their desire to be marked by the whip

The women instead of fleeing beg men to whip them again during the ceremony held in the Omo River Valley,
Once whipped, the girls proudly show off their scars as a proof of their courage and integrity. Some whipping appears to be tender, others more fierce

They coat their bodies with butter to lessen the effect of the whipping which is only carried out by Maza – those who have already undergone this Rite-of-Passage
