TEXT: 1 CHRONICLES 28: 1-21
TOPIC: HANDING OVER THE BATON

King David did not worry about the negative things that had happened but focused on God's positive plans for Israel. That was unlike some leaders who would endlessly dwell on the ills of the past administration.

David understood that Israel belongs to God and that God chooses whoever He wants to work with. Therefore for Solornon to succeed he should listen to and obey God's word and show wholehearted devotion and willingness of serve - knowing that God sees every heart.

David gave Solomon the plans of the temple, every article, weapons and a handover note.

QUESTION:
Are you the type of leader or person that helps others to succeed or do you frustrate them?

PRAYER:

Dear Lord help me not to withhold anything that would make my successor succeed and make me an all-round transparent person, in Jesus name. Amen

TEXT: I CHRONICLES 10:1-14
TOPIC: SAUL'S UNFAITHFULNESS

Unfaithfulness unto God is a very grievous sin as it can lead to death and destruction.

Saul, his three sons and some men of Israel lost their lives in the battle with the Philistines due to his unfaithfulness to God as a leader.

Saul possessed all the physical qualities required of a leader but lacked the character that would have made him an exemplary king.

He was handsome but his sin of unfaithfulness made him weak and ugly. He was rich but he was spiritually bankrupt. Saul looked good on the outside, but as rotten inside.

Faithfulness to God and a strong character are much more valuable than an attractive exterior.

QUESTION:
In what way have you been unfaithful to God?

PRAYER:
O God, I repent of every act of unfaithfulness to You today, cleans and make me whole so that I can enjoy a good relationship with You, in Jesus name. Amen.

TEXT: PSALM 104:1-12
TOPIC: TAKE CARE OF GOD'S UNIVERSE

God's greatness is portrayed in many ways through His creative activities on the face of the earth.

When we carefully look at the trees, mountains, seas, clouds and many other things that God has arranged in their respective positions, we see the expressions of order and greatness.

In today's passage, the Psalmist describes the greatness of God through His creative works.

God set the foundation of the earth in a way that no one can ever move it. He brought the waters upon the earth not only to beautify His creative work but to also provide for the beasts of the fields.

No wonder, the wild donkeys drink from the water to quench their thirst, the birds of the sky nest by the waters and sing amongst the branches.

Therefore, we need to appreciate the importance of everything that God has created and strive to glorify Him by keeping these things intact to fulfil their reasons for existence.

QUESTION:
Do you protect or destroy the things God has created?

PRAYER:
Help me, dear God, to fulfill my role of taking care of the things You have created so that the other creatures can benefit from them, in Jesus name. Amen.
