We were both gardeners once. We found this wild, messy acre of land. Untamed but full of potential, and decided to plant beautiful things together. I was reading this novel a few days ago—a romance novel. And it got me thinking about love. Not the cute version on TikTok, but the real thing. The ache. The madness. The softness that doesn’t need to be earned.
