Most times s*x traffickers pose as though they’re helping their victims. Those who fall for this are mostly poor, vulnerable and ignorant people. Quick question though. Why will a parent think sending their child away helps them “fall in line”?

At the airport, a colleague and I had a deep conversation about s*x trafficking, its causes and terrible effects on society. She shared a painful story of a young girl who traveled to Russia under the pretense of going to school, only for her to later discover she had been trapped in a s*x home. A truly traumatic experience no one should ever endure.

Parents o both online and offline, I appeal to you: please be mindful of where and to whom you entrust your children. Not every opportunity is what it seems.

I’m humbled to share that our film “ZARAH” which touches on these important issues has been selected as a Semi Finalist at the African SDGs Film Festival.

It’s such an honor to be part of the amazing team that brought this story to life.
