💥🇳🇬 On your mandate we shall stand.”- Governor Sim Fubara’s supporters sing as he officially defects to the APC

On why he defected to the ruling APC, Governor Fubara said the PDP’s failure to protect him during the recent political crisis in the state, while the APC offered the support and protection he needed necessitated his defection.

“I went to see Mr. President not just for a personal visit, but for a consultation on state matters,” Fubara said. “The most important outcome of that meeting is that we now have full support to leave where we were because we didn’t get the protection we needed. The struggles we faced were due to the crisis in the state.

If President Tinubu had not intervened, there wouldn’t be a Siminalayi Fubara today. We have the people and supporters with us. Our decision is to move to the APC and fully support the President’s second-term bid.” he said

💥🇳🇬 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE

PRESIDENT TINUBU NOMINATES GENERAL CHRISTOPHER MUSA AS THE NEW MINISTER OF DEFENCE

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated General Christopher Gwabin Musa as the new Minister of Defence.

In a letter to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, President Tinubu conveyed General Musa’s nomination as the successor to Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, who resigned on Monday.

General Musa, 58, on December 25, is a distinguished soldier who served as Chief of Defence Staff from 2023 until October 2025. He won the Colin Powell Award for Soldiering in 2012.

Born in Sokoto in 1967, General Musa received his primary and secondary education there before attending the College of Advanced Studies in Zaria. He graduated in 1986 and enrolled at the Nigerian Defence Academy the same year, earning a Bachelor of Science degree upon graduation in 1991.

General Musa was commissioned into the Nigerian Army as a Second Lieutenant in 1991 and has since had a distinguished career. His appointments include General Staff Officer 1, Training/Operations at HQ 81 Division; Commanding Officer, 73 Battalion; Assistant Director, Operational Requirements, Department of Army Policy and Plans; and Infantry Representative/Member, Training Team, HQ Nigerian Army Armour Corps.

In 2019, he served as Deputy Chief of Staff, Training/Operations, Headquarters Infantry Centre and Corps; Commander, Sector 3, Operation Lafiya Dole; and Commander, Sector 3 Multinational Joint Task Force in the Lake Chad Region.

In 2021, General Musa was appointed Theatre Commander, Operation Hadin Kai. He later became Commander of the Nigerian Army Infantry Corps before being appointed Chief of Defence Staff by President Tinubu in 2023.

In the letter to the Senate, President Tinubu expressed confidence in General Musa’s ability to lead the Ministry of Defence and further strengthen Nigeria’s security architecture.

💥🇳🇬 REJOICE REJOINDER
To General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) On His Bold Call for Tinubu to Arrest Bandit Sympathizers—Including Sheikh Gumi

FROM THE SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF HAUSA LAND

We, the Sons and Daughters of Hausa Land, issue this powerful rejoinder in solidarity with General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), whose recent statement calling on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be ruthless, uncompromising, and decisive against Fulani-led bandits and their sympathizers has shaken the entire nation.

For over a decade, the North has bled.
Our villages have burned.
Our children have been kidnapped.
Our women have been violated.
Our farms have become graveyards.
And many leaders kept silent.

But today, a former head of state
A man who understands war, security, command, strategy
Has told the truth without fear or favour.

1. WE STAND WITH IBB: “NO BANDITS, NO TERRORISTS, NO NEGOTIATORS, NO SYMPATHIZERS SHOULD BE SPARED”

IBB said clearly:

> “No bandits, no terrorists, no terrorists negotiators or terrorists sympathizers should be spared for disrupting the peace of Nigerians.”

This is the boldness the North has been waiting for.
This is the leadership our people were denied for years.
This is the truth our elites refused to speak.

IBB’s words expose the hypocrisy of those who:

Defended bandits

Negotiated for bandits

Carried money to forests

Blamed “foreign Fulani”

And misled the nation with propaganda

IBB has cut through all their lies.

2. IBB HAS OPENLY WARNED PRESIDENT TINUBU: DO NOT NEGOTIATE WITH BANDITS

IBB stated:

> “If I were the President, I would NEVER negotiate with bandits and kidnappers.”
“Negotiating with criminals funds your enemies against your own citizens.”

He exposed:

The dangers of ransom payments

The foolishness of negotiation

The betrayal of paying terrorists

The weakness of using clerics as ‘middlemen’

This is a direct challenge to the culture of appeasement that allowed terrorism to grow.

3. IBB’s WORDS EXPOSE SHEIKH GUMI AND ALL OTHER BANDIT “NEGOTIATORS”

IBB said:

> “Those who sympathize with bandits or pose as bandits’ negotiators must face the law.”

This statement clearly aligns with what Nigerians have been demanding for years
that Sheikh Ahmad Gumi should be investigated and held accountable for:

Defending bandits

Blaming government instead of criminals

Going from forest to forest acting as their ambassador

Praising them on national TV

Undermining the Nigerian Army

Protecting the reputation of killers

Justifying kidnappers

Claiming they “deserve amnesty”

IBB’s message has confirmed what the victims always knew:

Negotiators are part of the system enabling terror.

4. IBB’s POSITION DESTROYS THE FALSE MYTH: “BANDITS ARE FOREIGNERS”

For years, certain Fulani elites argued that bandits are foreigners from:

Sudan

Mali

Senegal

Chad

Guinea

But IBB said:

> “Nigeria must take action against those enabling and protecting bandits within.”

This statement confirms:

The criminals are here.

Their sympathizers are here.

Their protectors are here.

Their negotiators are here.

And they are not foreigners.

Every top bandit commander is a Nigerian Fulani, well-known by name and village.

IBB is telling the truth the Sultan of Sokoto refused to tell.

5. IBB’s MESSAGE TO THE MILITARY IS WHAT OUR VICTIMS HAVE BEEN PRAYING FOR

He said:

> “If I was the President…
We can go band for band…
We are NOT negotiating!”

This is the military doctrine that should have been used from 2010.

Because:

You do not negotiate with child kidnappers.

You do not negotiate with rapists.

You do not negotiate with arsonists.

You do not negotiate with mass murderers.

You do not negotiate with terrorists.

Negotiation only breeds more terror.

IBB has finally confirmed that truth.

6. IBB HAS GIVEN TINUBU THE POLITICAL COVER TO ACT DECISIVELY

For years, every president was afraid:

“What will northern elites say?”

“What will clerics say?”

“What will Fulani associations say?”

But now:

IBB has spoken for the oppressed, not the oppressors.

He has created a historic opportunity for Tinubu:

Arrest the sympathizers

Crush their networks

Shut down their supply chains

Neutralize their commanders

Investigate their clerical allies

Stop the culture of appeasement

A former president has given the green light.
Now the current president must act.

7. WE REJOICE BECAUSE FOR THE FIRST TIME, A NORTHERN GENERAL IS SPEAKING THE TRUTH

IBB’s courage stands in contrast to:

Politicians who lied

Traditional rulers who defended criminals

Clerics who justified killers

Elites who blamed “foreigners”

Sympathizers who sabotaged security

Opinion leaders who misled the public

For once, the truth is no longer whispered
It is shouted from the top.

And for that, we rejoice.

CONCLUSION

We, the Sons and Daughters of Hausa Land, completely stand with IBB’s position.

His message is:

Clear

Fearless

Patriotic

Long overdue

Aligned with the will of the people

IBB has spoken for justice.
He has spoken for the victims.
He has spoken for the truth.

Now President Tinubu must act.

Arrest the bandits.
Arrest the negotiators.
Arrest the sympathizers.

Peace has no price.
Terror has no tribe.
Nigeria has bled enough.

💥🇳🇬 Southern Governors Draw Red Line: State Police or Nothing – Declare It Non-Negotiable for Nigeria’s Survival

Governors from Nigeria's southern states convened in a high-stakes strategic meeting Wednesday, issuing a resounding call for the establishment of state police as an "non-negotiable" pillar of true federalism and grassroots security, amid a surge in kidnappings and violent extremism plaguing the region.

Hosted by Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun at Iperu Remo, the Southern Governors' Forum gathering drew key figures including Rivers State's Siminalayi Fubara, Abia State's Alex Otti, Ekiti's Biodun Oyebanji, Ebonyi’s Francis Nwifuru, Enugu’s Peter Mbah, Anambra’s Charles Soludo, and deputies from Osun, Edo, Oyo, and Cross River states. The session, shrouded in urgency, zeroed in on decentralizing Nigeria's centralized policing model to better tackle localized threats, from school abductions to rural banditry.

In his opening address, Abiodun painted a stark picture of the nation's security landscape, warning that "recent mass abductions in schools, religious centres and rural communities across the country have shown that no region is immune to organised criminality or violent extremism." He lauded President Bola Tinubu's "exceptional leadership" in orchestrating swift rescues of kidnapped students but stressed the need for deeper reforms, declaring, “The creation of state police remains a non-negotiable component of our collective demand for true federalism and effective grassroots security.”

Discussions delved into forging an integrated security blueprint, emphasizing intelligence-sharing, early-warning systems, and safeguards for schools, farmlands, borders, and critical infrastructure. The governors spotlighted the pivotal role of traditional rulers as "links to the grassroots," urging closer ties between local communities, security forces, and hereditary leaders to foster proactive defenses.

By meeting's end, the forum forged a unified resolution: State police must be prioritized to create a "policing system closer to the people, more responsive to local realities, and better equipped to address the rapidly evolving threats we face." They pledged to champion this agenda nationally, while committing to collaborative frameworks that weave in community vigilance and corridor surveillance for a "peaceful and prosperous southern region."

The gathering comes as Nigeria grapples with escalating insecurity, with southern states reporting a spike in incidents that have strained federal resources. Analysts view the governors' synchronized push as a potential game-changer in constitutional debates, though opposition from northern counterparts on decentralization remains a hurdle. No timeline was set for follow-up actions, but sources indicate the forum plans to lobby the National Assembly imminently.
