Moments from the International Quran Conference – Accra, Ghana 🇬🇭
Organized by Light of Guidance in partnership with several local organizations, sponsors, and media partners, the International Quran Conference in Accra was indeed a memorable and spiritually uplifting event.
The gathering witnessed remarkable recitations of the Qur’an and insightful lectures from esteemed scholars and huffaz, including:
• Qari Isa Muhammad 🇬🇭
• Sheikh Muhammad Auwal Al-Hafiz 🇬🇭
• Hafiz Abdulrahim Mansur Isa Yelwa 🇳🇬
• Imam Ali Guven 🇹🇷
• Sheikh Ismail Tusuwa 🇬🇭
• Sheikh Yahya Suleiman Tutunba 🇬🇭
• Sheikh Abubakar Imam Gana 🇳🇬
• Alaramma Usama Zango 🇧🇫
…along with many other talented reciters from Nigeria and Ghana.
The event also featured presentations of awards to honor key stakeholders in Qur’an propagation in Ghana. Among the awardees were:
• The General Administration of the Qur’an Affairs, Republic of Ghana
• Sheikh Malik Maiga (Imam Malik Foundation, Ghana)
• Sheikh Ilyas (Al-Hidaya Educational Complex)
• …as well as other dignitaries and respected guests.
We were further graced by the presence of representatives from the Presidency of the Republic of Ghana, including Hajiya Shamima Muslim, the Deputy Spokesperson of the President of Ghana.
As the Executive Director of Light of Guidance, I was deeply humbled and honored by our hosts, who presented me with a special gift and adorned me with a beautiful Bisht — an Arabian cloak symbolizing respect and honor.
My sincere appreciation goes to:
