‎In a time when criticism has become easier than appreciation, silence often speaks louder than words. For long, some have chosen to speak ill of a man whose actions continue to speak clearly for themselves. Yet today, facts stand firm.
‎Despite the noise, Honourable Ismaila Musa Danmodibbo rose beyond politics and personal interest to invest meaningfully in the future of Kagara Emirate by sponsoring a free JAMB tutorial programme for students, an intervention that touches lives directly and secures tomorrow responsibly.
‎This raises sincere questions that deserve honest answers:
‎Is Honourable Ismaila Musa the only leader in Rafi Local Government Area?
‎Does Rafi Local Government no longer value education?
‎Or is it that some people are uncomfortable seeing the future empowered because an enlightened generation cannot be easily controlled?
‎Education is not a favour; it is a responsibility. And when one man steps forward to carry that responsibility while others remain silent, history will not be confused about who truly stood for the people.
‎What is even more painful is that when this noble effort was made, many who are quick to criticise suddenly found their voices missing. Only a few spoke up. Yet the beneficiaries understand. Parents understand. Students understand. And posterity will surely understand.
‎Leadership is not about occupying space; it is about creating impact. And impact has been made.

‎While Hon. Attahiru Musa Abubakar’s statement attempts to romanticize what was, in truth, a failed political adventure, it is important to separate emotion from reality. The November 1st, 2025 Council Election in Gurara Local Government was transparently conducted under the close watch of security agencies, electoral observers, and community leaders. The process was peaceful, credible, and reflective of the people’s true will.

‎Hon. Abubakar, who contested under the SDP platform, has over time earned the reputation of a serial failure, one who thrives more in post-election lamentations than in genuine political service. His so-called “Hypersonic Coalition” was, from inception, dead on arrival, a coalition of convenience without structure, purpose, or grassroots connection.
‎
‎The public is well aware that his sudden outcry is nothing short of commercial policing of public sympathy and a desperate attempt to seek relevance after another predictable loss. His campaign lacked direction, substance, and the genuine intention to serve; instead, it was marred by desperation, intimidation, and anti-democratic tendencies that exposed his poor political judgment. The coalition of 6 political parties has further exposed them (SDPs) inadequacy towards our political practices and lack of clear ideology. He continue to weap for relevance via chip sentiments.
‎Politics is not about merchandise and profit making. It is about service to humanity and fulfillment of the desire and wishes of the electorate. In a desperate rush, he begged for the State flag up to be in Gurara, thinking the packaging will add value, but alass yet he failed to deliver!

‎In truth, leadership is not built on noise or self-glorification, it is earned through character, consistency, and service. The people of Gurara have spoken decisively through the ballot, and their decision must be respected. The election was free, fair, and credible, and no amount of emotional narrative can rewrite that fact.

‎Gurara deserves forward-thinking leaders, not attention-seeking desperados parading political failures as revolutions.

‎On October 29th, 2025, Hon. Umar Isah, popularly known as Baba Jagaba, publicly endorsed the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship flag bearers of Suleja, Tafa, and Gurara LGAs an event wrapped with generosity and political glamour. Cars were presented, motorcycles distributed, and a variety of empowerment packages handed out. To the ordinary eyes, it was a day of blessings; but to the discerning, it was yet another demonstration of Nigeria’s old political culture dressed as philanthropy.
‎It is easy to call it “empowerment,” yet, true empowerment is not measured by the number of motorcycles shared or perfumes distributed, but by the depth of social and economic development that endures after the cameras are gone. When empowerment becomes seasonal only appearing at the edge of election season it loses its moral weight and becomes a political investment rather than a social intervention.
‎One cannot ignore the timing: 2027 is around the corner, and aspirants are already oiling their political engines. It raises the question if the intention was truly to empower the people, why now? Why were these resources not directed toward education, health facilities, rural electrification, youth skill centers, or market women cooperatives areas that produce sustainable livelihoods instead of short-term fanfare?
‎Cars for chairmen and motorcycles for selected supporters may buy loyalty, but they do not build a community. Imagine if the same millions spent on these symbolic distributions were used to provide scholarships for students, rehabilitate community schools, or equip a hospital in Gauraka, Lambata, or Kwamba the story would be different. The applause would then come from gratitude, not political alignment.
‎This pattern of selective generosity aimed at strengthening political machinery rather than the people’s welfare mirrors the deeper problem of Nigerian politics: development is often secondary to loyalty. Until empowerment programs are separated from campaign motives and placed in the hands of impartial development committees, gestures like these will remain campaign strategies, not community solutions.
‎It is not wrong to give. But it becomes morally questionable when giving becomes a ladder to power instead of a bridge to progress.
‎As citizens, we must learn to look beyond the glitter of donations and ask: What is the intent? What is the sustainability? Because in the end, a true leader empowers minds, not moments.
