The villagers still talk about Musa's final night.
Musa was a hardworking farmer who often returned home late from his fields. One evening, after a long day of work, he decided to take a shortcut through an old path that few people used after sunset.
As he walked, he noticed a table beneath a large tree. On it was a feast unlike anything he had ever seen—steaming rice, roasted meat, and fresh fruits. The aroma filled the air.
Musa looked around. There was no one in sight.
Hungry and exhausted, he convinced himself that someone must have left the food behind. Without thinking twice, he sat down and ate until he was full.
When he arrived home, his wife immediately noticed something was wrong. Musa was unusually quiet. He complained of feeling cold despite the warm night.
Hours later, he became seriously ill.
His family rushed to help him, but his condition worsened. Before dawn, Musa passed away.
The next morning, villagers searched the old path after hearing what had happened. They found no table, no plates, and no sign that any food had ever been there.
Only the large tree remained, standing silently in the morning mist.
Years later, his children still remember the pain of losing their father so suddenly. His wife often sat outside their home at sunset, remembering his laughter and wishing he had returned by the safer road.
Whether the mysterious meal was real, imagined, or something else entirely, the story became a lesson passed from one generation to another:
Not every temptation should be trusted, especially when it appears where it does not belong.
Some choices take only a moment to make, but their consequences can last a lifetime. Emax classic
