4. Break Free from Family Guilt Spending

Yes, you love your family. But if you spend everything on “urgent 2k” and endless obligations, you’ll never grow. Help smartly, not emotionally. If you go broke again, you’re no help to anyone.

How my little cousin chisom made me cry uncontrollable😭😭
Her kid bro who just came in to the world newly was very sick and needed blood urgently, their father did a test his blood did not match their mother the Same thing I my self did not match, so they had to test the little chisom and eventually their blood matched but she refused to donate the blood, after much pleading by her parents to save her little brother from dieing she agreed to donate her blood, after some hours the little boy was feeling better every body was so happy only for chisom to walk up to her mother and asked her "mummy when am i dieing"
She thought donating blood to someone was giving your life to the person, Chisom has already made up her mind to save her little brother with her life.
Every body in that hospital cried it was very emotional moment i hard to excuse my self cause I was crying uncontrollable 😭😭😭

This child walked into the eatery.

With her mother and younger brother.

Of 3 years old.

She, 6 years old.

Fierce eyes, fair, and outspoken.

I stood behind the counter, making a little order.

When I heard a tiny loud clap, it was a slap.

The little boy had slapped his elder sister.

People watched and oohed.

She turned to their mother, while she massaged her cheek with her tiny right hand.

Face frowned.

"Mommy, have you seen? Junior, slapped me. Mommy, can you see now?"

Their mother was not paying attention as she was talking to the waiter.

"Mommy, if he slaps me again I will slap him back."

The younger brother was smiling at her mischievously.

She glared at him.

"Shebi you are laughing abi? If you slap me again, I will slap you back even mommy will not save you. Bighead."

Before she could finish, her younger brother gave her another slap.

She held her cheek, almost crying.

And then with that anger, she thundered him a seniority don't-be-silly- slap.

I felt it.

It was loud.

That was when their mother turned to face the little girl as the boy started to cry.

"Why did you slap your brother are you okay?"

"Mommy, he slapped me first. Two times."

"You should have reported to me."

One woman said.

"She actually reported to you but you were not paying attention."

"Mommy, I reported to you, you did not answer me."

Her mother consoled the boy.

"It's okay, my love. stop crying I'm sorry."

The girl then said.

"Mommy, tell me sorry too na. His hand is very painful."

"I don't console someone who beats up her brother."

That was when the little girl now shouted in anger.

"Mommy, you love junior more than me, that is not my problem. But if you do not tell me sorry I will tell daddy that his friend always comes to visit you in our house when he is not around."

Their mother gasped and smiled shamefully as she whispered to her.

"Oya baby, sorry. It has not come to that..."

Man narrates his sad experience after he moved in with her ex-girlfriend.... This is so touching 😔 👇

I moved in with my ex in 2020 when I relocated from Lagos to Ado Ekiti. Blindfolded by love and anxiety to be a responsible guy, I didn't see anything wrong with that since I was gonna be supporting with the rent and all.

It was a rollercoaster of issues on a daily basis as I was not allowed to take calls from 8pm. She drew up a timetable for house chores that I have to be actively involved. In her words, she's not a slave and we are not Married. It was a terrible co-habitation.

Fast forward to early 2023, I got a job outside Ado Ekiti and I I needed to travel but I made sure I came back every weekend regardless of the cost and stress. Just a week i resumed my new job, my friends in the hood would always call me to ask if I and my ex had broken up...

The calls kept coming but they couldn't tell me why they were asking me if we had broken up. One weekend I came home, our landlord called me that we needed to see and that it was very urgent and important. Haa, landlord ke? What's happening?...

Tobi, you need to end everything with your so called gf, my landlord started with. Sir, what happened? I asked looking like an innocent chicken ready to be slaughtered. He said my house is now a charllet for short time where different guys come and take their turns on my ex.. haa

He said he and his wife had decided to embarrass the next guy who comes around as it was a disgusting and a disgraceful act and as it was getting out of hand. For about 5 minute's, darkness covered my eyes while they were wide opened.

I left my landlord place in awe and with serious cold. I went inside my apartment and I cried the hell out of my eyes. My phone rang almost immediately I got inside my apartment, it was my next compound neighbor who has also been telling me he has something to discuss with me...
I told him I just got back from work and I'm home. He came over and he met my eyes Heavy. The first thing out of his mouth was she's not worth it. That he has even fought one of his friend for sleeping with my gf. At this point, I wanted to just see my ex and st@b her to d£...

He tried to console me and left for his place when he could no longer stand the tears. Later that Friday, my ex got back to the house at past 9pm rushing to take her bath so she could go out again. I was patiently waiting for her and her story about where she was going out to..
As she quickly undressed and entered the bathroom, I grabbed her phone and for the first time in our relationship, I had to quickly go thru her chats her Facebook cos that's the app she often use. As I opened the messenger app, the first chat I opened was her conversation with..
With the manager of a nearby filling station which we both attended his engagement and the wife was as that time heavily pregnant. In the conversation, my ex was asking him if he liked the head she gave him and enjoyed the sëx they had earlier that evening before she came home...
At this point, I could feel the devil was gossipping with me about what to do to her and the only option was to stab her to death. She came out of the bathroom and was quickly trying to dress and rush out. I asked where she was rushing to, she said she was going for overnight...
Rehearsals in church in preparation for the church's anniversary on Sunday. I didn't argue cos I had my bad plans and all that was on my mind was to stab her and prolly stab myself and we end all together. The man in me overpowered the evil thoughts and I allowed her with the intentions of trailing her. This was already past 10pm. As soon as she sets out of the compound, I followed from behind and to my surprise, there was a car parked already on my street waiting to pick her up. I trailed them to a guest house where she and the guy was to lodge.

As soon as they settled up in the bar, I pulled up and she was shocked. I turned back and left for my house. I knew the God I serve will not allow her return to the house again cos of she does, that was the end. She ended up aborting twice. One for the filling station guy and the other for the guy who took her to a guest house. As I type this, she's 32 years old already, not married, not engaged, and seriously having pregnancy conception issues as her private part cannot hold s***m. The Yorubas will understand what is called "Eeda" after the so much ordeal, I informed her parents that I was calling of the relationship, I resigned from my job outside Ado Ekiti, I relocated from Ado Ekiti to Akure and here I am living peacefully and hopeful for a better relationship. This is truly my life story.

My husband was the last of three siblings. Both his older siblings live outside Ghana. To be closer to his aged parents, he built a nice three bedroom apartment on his parents’ land (half plot left after they built their family house).

When he met me, he told me he wanted to live with his parents because even though they are independent and can do things on their own, he wanted to be close. I didn’t mind at all, his parents aren’t hard to be close to. We married and after he finished the house, we moved in. We’ve had and raised children in that home. Our youngest is 8. As far as I knew there were no issues. My in-laws weren’t exactly my friends but we weren’t enemies, we got along; they loved their grandchildren and helped us immensely with them.

Two months had ago, my husband went to sleep and didn’t wake up. Cardiac arrest.

Our next door neighbor, same tribe as my husband and my in-laws, as soon as he heard of my husband’s demise, asked his wife to bring me to their home, and asked where my husband’s Mercedes Benz papers were. Did he own the car or was it on loan from his employers (a bank). He had paid off the loan so I had the documents. The neighbor made me give my own car documents and that of my husband to his wife. Then he arranged with a friend of his to take my husband’s car and park it at his workplace. He told me when the family asked, I should say the car was on loan so the bank has taken it until the debt is settled or the next of kin assumed the debt. And my own was also on loan.

That man knew the hell that was about to unleash.

As I write this to you, Misskorang, the only thing I have left from my 12 years with my husband is a plot of land we bought with the intent to develop, my two children and the car my neighbor helped me hide.

I didn’t know the family I married into until the man I married passed. As I sit here crying, I don’t know if I’m mourning my husband or the family that so hurt and betrayed me.

But still, I will rise.

Our family was overjoyed when we heard that our cousin sister was getting married even in her age. We had always known her as a kind and gentle soul, and we were thrilled to see her find happiness. So, on March 1st, we all traveled home to attend her traditional marriage ceremony. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, music, and celebration.

However, not everyone was pleased with the union. Some of our relatives had expressed concerns about the groom, whom we didn't know well. They felt that he was not the right man for our cousin sister, but her siblings reassured us that he was a good person.

After the festivities, the newlyweds returned to Aba, and we thought that all was well. But little did we know, a sinister reality was unfolding. The groom, driven by dark intentions, had been planning to use our cousin sister for a twisted ritual. He believed that her innocence and purity made her the perfect victim.

He began to subject her to physical and emotional abuse, isolating her from our family's reach. He would beat her, starve her, and lock her up, trying to weaken her spirit. He even blocked her siblings from contacting her, ignoring their calls and messages.

But our cousin sister's faith remained unshaken. She knew that she was a child of God, raised in the faith of the Tabernacle Congregation Church. She believed that her God was a living God, who would not let her be harmed.

One day, while her husband was performing one of his twisted rituals, our cousin sister overheard him say, "I will cut off all her private parts and burn them. I will kill her." But unknown to him, she understood English.

She knew that she had to escape, but she was trapped. So, she waited for the right moment to reveal the truth.

That moment came in June, when her siblings encountered her husband at church. They were shocked to see her looking pale and weak, and they knew something was wrong. They asked her what was happening, but she just said, "If it's the will of God, so be it."

Determined to uncover the truth, her siblings visited her at her husband's house. There, they found her looking like a walking dead. She finally revealed the horrific details of her abuse, including the midnight incantations, the gruesome threats, and the barbaric ritual with the bird's blood.

As she watched in horror, her husband sprinkled the bird's blood all over the house, chanting incantations to weaken her spirit. But our cousin sister, fueled by her unwavering faith, found the strength to speak out.

"I am the daughter of God," she declared, her voice firm and resolute. "A child who was born and raised in the Tabernacle Congregation Church. The God I serve is a living God, and He won't let you harm me."

But her face kept appearing to us, haunting our dreams and making us uncomfortable. We knew we had to act, so we decided to visit her and her husband.

On our way, we met her looking like a co**se, her body weak and her spirit crushed. We knew we had to act fast. We went to confront the husband, determined to put an end to the abuse. We also wanted to take her clothes so she could stay with us for the meantime, away from the toxic environment.

When we arrived, the husband callously declared, "The marriage is over." We didn't argue with him; we just told him, "She wasn't picked from the roadside, so you should come and tell her people what happened." We wanted him to take responsibility for his actions and face the consequences.

With that, we took our sister away from the hellhole, determined to help her heal and rebuild her life. The experience had left her scarred, but we were determined to be her rock, her support system, and her safe haven.
