Who says you need a big compound or expensive gardening materials before you can grow fresh herbs? 😍

Look around your kitchen—those empty plastic containers, cans, yoghurt cups, bottles and small bowls you’re about to throw away can become useful planting containers. 🌱

You can use them to grow spring onions, mint, scent leaf, basil and other easy-to-grow herbs right at home.

For example, spring onions are one of the easiest ones to start with. You can place the roots in a little water first until you notice new growth, then transfer them into soil if you want to keep growing them.

For containers with soil, make sure there are small drainage holes at the bottom so excess water can escape. Add good soil, plant your seeds or cuttings, water lightly, and place them where they can get enough sunlight. ☀️🌱

The beautiful thing about this hack is that you’re not only saving money, you’re also reusing things that would have ended up in the bin. ♻️❤️
