NEW RULES ON UK 🇬🇧 STUDENT VISA

Planning to study in the UK? Big visa changes you should know (2025)

Hey future UK students! If you’re looking at universities here, there are some important new visa rules:

🔹 Bringing family is now limited – Most students can’t bring dependants anymore, unless you’re doing a research degree or are on a government-funded scholarship.
🔹 Show more savings – You’ll need to prove you can cover about £1,483 per month for 9 months in London or £1,136 outside London.
🔹 Prove your study plans – If you’re coming for a short English course, you’ll need to convince the Home Office you’re a genuine student who will leave after your course.
🔹 Digital visas are here – Starting July 2025, your visa will live in your online UKVI account instead of your passport.
🔹 Work visas come later – Most students will only be able to switch to a work visa after they finish studying.

So if the UK is your dream, start early, get your finances ready, and make sure your documents are airtight. Studying here is still absolutely worth it – just a little more planning needed! 🎓🇬🇧
