Growing up as a little boy in Kaduna, I always used to look forward to the independence day celebrations. I remember how we would assemble at the stadium with children from other schools.

The pride that comes with being selected to join the kids for match pass was absolutely priceless.

Then you people now spoilt everything when you started to tiff preeq at the stadium.

I remember that day so very well. I remember the details. I wore a blue tshirt, bathroom slippers and black shorts. I was 7 years old then but i remember everything.

I remember how I snuck out of the house and followed some boys on our street to the stadium to watch a super eagles match. I can’t remember the country they were playing against but i know I followed the boys because they were talking about how exciting it would be to watch Jay Jay Okocha play.

Before we got to the stadium entrance, i heard people shouting. They caught and started to beat a man holding a sack. They said he stole someone’s preeq!

It was chaotic!

I was so scared!

What if they tiff my small preeq? Preeq wey i never even use?!

What would i tell my mum? How would i p**s without my God given preeq?

Ah! I ran home and never looked back.

Till date, i have serious PTSD whenever i pass through or go to the stadium.

You people ruined it for me. Blooody tiffers of preeq!

Breaking News: In a landmark ruling that has stunned the nation, the Abia State High Court has sentenced former Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to death by hanging after investigators traced ₦1 trillion to his secret foreign account in Australia.

The money, according to court documents, was originally earmarked for the ambitious Abia International Airport project and a light rail system that promised to change the face of the state. Instead, prosecutors revealed it was siphoned off and hidden abroad.

Delivering the verdict, Justice Chukwuemeka Nwogu said:

“The evidence before this court is overwhelming. This was not just theft — it was the betrayal of millions of Abians who were denied progress and hope. Such crimes against humanity must carry the highest penalty.”

He added:

“With ₦1 trillion, Abia could have had two airports, a modern rail line, and stable electricity. Instead, the state was left in decay. This sentence is not just punishment, but a message that no one is above the law.”

The courtroom fell silent as the sentence was pronounced, with gasps breaking out among observers. Outside the court, reactions were divided — some residents celebrated the judgment as “historic justice,” while others said they were shocked by both the scale of the corruption and the severity of the ruling.

Security agencies confirmed that Ikpeazu has been placed under heavy guard as arrangements for the ex*****on move forward. Efforts are also underway to repatriate the stolen funds.
