CHIEF MRS. FOLASHADE TINUBU-OJO APPLAUDS AFENIFERE YORUBA YOUTH ASSEMBLY (AYYA) AND OODUACONNECT FOR ENDORSING PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU AHEAD OF 2027 RE-ELECTION BID

The revered Iyaloja General of Nigeria, Chief Mrs. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, has extended her heartfelt commendation to the leadership of the Afenifere Yoruba Youth Assembly (AYYA) and Ooduaconnect, following their public endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office come 2027.

This endorsement is set to take a national spotlight through the upcoming National Conference tagged “President Bola Tinubu 2027”, a strategic gathering of stakeholders, youth leaders, traditional institutions, and political influencers committed to consolidating the progress achieved under President Tinubu’s administration.

Speaking through her media team, Chief Mrs. Tinubu-Ojo described the move as “timely, courageous, and patriotic”, praising the visionary leadership of AYYA and Ooduaconnect for aligning with national interest and the continued transformation of Nigeria.

At the forefront of this initiative is the National President of Afenifere Yoruba Youth Assembly, Comrade Lekan Owolabi SLA, whose dynamic leadership has been instrumental in mobilizing Yoruba youths and other progressive forces in support of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

It will be recalled that AYYA was one of the first Yoruba youth-based organizations to openly drum support for President Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election, organizing several rallies, media engagements, and grassroots sensitization campaigns across the South West region and beyond. Their unwavering commitment played a significant role in galvanizing support from the youth constituency, contributing to the resounding victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the polls.

Now, as Nigeria continues to navigate its path toward economic recovery, national security, and social progress, the Afenifere Yoruba Youth Assembly believes that continuity is key, and that President Tinubu remains the most experienced and competent leader to sustain the momentum.

The “President Bola Tinubu 2027” National Conference promises to be a landmark event where policy discussions, leadership evaluation, and future-focused strategies will be unveiled in support of the President’s re-election journey.

As plans for the conference intensify, all eyes are on the youth-led movements that are boldly reshaping the political landscape with patriotic passion, foresight, and unity of purpose.

Spiritual warfare: 9ice speaks on embracing Ifa after mysterious illness

Nigerian singer, Alexander Adegbola Akande, popularly known as 9ice, has opened up about a life-threatening ordeal he describes as a “spiritual attack” that lasted for six months.

Speaking on a recent episode of The Nancy Isime Show, the ‘Gongo Aso’ crooner revealed that the mysterious affliction began in 2009 and continued into 2010, during which he reportedly vomited blood for half a year.

9ice claimed that the condition was not medical in nature and that it defied conventional treatment. According to the artist, he only began to recover after he was referred to an Ifa priest.

“When I was vomiting blood for about six months in my own house, I had to leave. It wasn’t a medical condition,” he stated.

“The first time I experienced ifa was when I was vomiting blood. Someone referred me, and I just wished I had known ifa earlier.”

The singer disclosed that he no longer identifies as either Christian or Muslim, but rather as a traditionalist. He referred to himself as a Babalawo—a Yoruba term for a high priest in traditional African religion.

“I’m not a Christian or a Muslim, I’m a Babalawo. I’m an African. I’m a traditionalist,” he declared, expressing regret for not embracing his roots sooner. “Fela used to go to Ogun and people mocked him, but now I understand.”

WHO LIED TO OUR DAUGHTERS? 😞

Whoever told women that beauty now means walking half-naked in public… lied to them.

They didn’t just lie to them, they robbed them.

They robbed them of the power of mystery.
They robbed them of the elegance of restraint.
They robbed them of the kind of beauty that commands respect before it demands attention.

They made our sisters believe that their skin is more valuable than their soul.
That more exposure means more validation.
That to be seen is more important than to be respected.
That waywardness is confidence.

Now, we scroll through social media timelines filled with desperate cries for likes.

Beautiful queens turned into clickbait, not because they aren’t powerful, but because they were never told how powerful they already were fully clothed.

Let’s be clear: modesty is not oppression.

It’s not about hiding, it’s about honoring.
Honoring your body. Honoring your mind. Honoring the parts of you that the world doesn’t deserve access to just because it’s Friday and the sun is out.

True beauty?
It isn’t loud.
It doesn’t need to shout or strip to be seen.
It glows, it flows, it speaks before the mouth opens and it leaves people wondering, “Who is that Princess?”

To every woman reading this:

You don’t need to undress to be unforgettable.
Your value is not in your curves but in your character.
Your worth is not in the amount of skin you reveal but the strength of your soul.

The real flex?
Being fully clothed, fully confident, and still turning heads… for the right reasons.

And if you find the right man, let him be blessed with the sight that the public can only wish for.

And remember, I’m not against whatever you wear. My sermon is that you realize that you are worth much more than your nakedness.

THE PEOPLE’S ADVOCATE DR. BARR. OLUMUYIWA ADU A CALL FROM THE PEOPLE OF ONDO CENTRAL FOR SENATE REPRESENTATION

By Lekan Owolabi, National President, Afenifere Yoruba Youth Assembly (AYYA) and Legislative Aide to the Hon. Speaker, House of Representatives, Nigeria

In every generation, there arises a leader whose actions speak louder than declarations a figure whose commitment to humanity transcends political ambition. In Ondo Central, that figure is Dr. Barr. Olumuyiwa Adu, fondly known as The People’s Advocate.

While Dr. Adu has not officially declared his intention to run for political office, there is a growing, passionate call from the people of Ondo Central urging him to contest for the Senate. This call is not driven by partisanship or personal interest, but by a heartfelt recognition of a man whose legacy of service has touched lives across every community in the district.

Dr. Adu’s track record speaks volumes. For years, he has quietly empowered families, supported education through scholarships, financed small businesses, cared for widows, and offered financial relief to those in desperate need. His philanthropic gestures have never sought the spotlight, yet they continue to shine illuminating hope in places long forgotten by the system.

In the marketplaces, the towns, and the farmlands of Ondo Central, his name resonates as a symbol of compassion, integrity, and action. From Akure to Idanre, from Ifedore to Ondo West and East, voices are rising “Adu must rise to the challenge.” It is not uncommon today to hear his name on the lips of both the young and old as the one who can truly represent their interests on the national stage.

What makes this groundswell of support unique is that it is completely organic. There has been no campaign flag-off, no formal declaration yet the momentum keeps building. Why? Because the people remember. They remember a man who never turned them away. A man who gives without seeking applause. A man whose life is a testament to quiet excellence and sincere service.

In an era where many seek power before service, Dr. Adu represents the opposite service before power. His professional background as a legal practitioner gives him the intellectual foundation, while his humanitarian legacy gives him the moral right to lead. His calm demeanor, depth of wisdom, and accessibility have made him a mentor to many and a hope to the underrepresented.

The call for him to run for Senate is a reflection of collective trust. The people are not calling for a politician they are calling for a leader. They are calling for a man who has already earned their respect, who has already invested in their lives, and who they believe will protect their interests in Abuja with truth, competence, and courage.

Whether or not he chooses to heed this call today, one thing is already clear Dr. Barr. Olumuyiwa Adu is a movement born out of love, trust, and shared vision. He represents the future that the people of Ondo Central are yearning for a future where representation is not about rhetoric but results.

As we continue to amplify his achievements and promote his selfless legacy, we do so not just as admirers, but as citizens driven by hope hope that when the time is right, The People’s Advocate will answer the call, not for himself, but for the people he has always stood for.

Indeed, if leadership is about who has walked the path with the people, who has lifted others without asking for reward, and who has given voice to the voiceless, then Dr. Barr. Olumuyiwa Adu is already a leader the kind that Ondo Central needs now more than ever.
