After being regularly contacted with Baleba's agents last week, United are confident that they have obtained enough assurance from the player to continue completing Brighton's contract.

Despite the price not yet announced, Manchester United are ready to pay a record fee this summer which could lead to a deal up to ยฃ100 million for Ginni.

The club believes the best chance to get Baleba is now, as they are at risk of missing out next summer when many teams could compete for Baleba's signature.
