The Cross represents the pinnacle of love, serving as the instrument that rewrote the egregious history of sinful humanity. We should not hesitate to gaze upon the cross, as it symbolizes a genuine triumph over sin and death. Jesus states in today's Gospel, "As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him may have eternal life." The cross previously bore the fruits of death; today, it bears life for those who seek to savor its fruits. Fear not, therefore, to gaze upon the cross, display it on the doorpost of your home, office, or wear it around your neck. We derive strength from it when the challenges and setbacks of this world overwhelm us. Beholding our Savior bearing our death, we emerge triumphant with and through Him.
