(Short Local Igbo Folktale)

N’oge gboo, n’obodo Ukpakiri, e nwere otu nwaanyị aha ya bụ Uloaku, onye a ma ama n’ihi ịdị umeala n’obi ya. Ma o nwere ihe nzuzo—mmiri nsọ ọ na-ewe site n’okpuru osisi ukwu ọhịa.

Kwa ụtụtụ, ọ na-eje naanị ya. A na-agwa ndị obodo ka ha ghara iso ya, n’ihi na mmiri ahụ bụ nke nna nna ha nyere obodo ha maka akụ na ụba.

Otu ụbọchị, Obinna, nwoke na-achọ ịhụ Uloaku n’anya, kpebiri iso ya n’enweghị nkwenye. Mgbe ọ hụrụ otú mmiri si pụta n’ala, ọ tụrụ egwu, ma n’oge ahụ Uloaku hụrụ ya.

Tupu ha kwuo okwu ọzọ, ala wee maa jijiji, mmiri nsọ kwụsịrị ịpụta. Uloaku tiri mkpu—ihe dị nsọ agbagoro!

Ndị okenye kpọrọ Obinna ka o mee emume mgbaghara, ma ọ rịọkwa ndị nna nna ka ha gbaghara ya. Mgbe emume gachara, mmiri nsọ laghachiri, obodo wee nwee udo ọzọ.
