How To Track SES 5 And Eutelsat 7 Satellites With Single Lnb

SES 5 is the primary satellite in this combination and SES 5 satellite can be received in two different positions with Ku band dish at 28.2° E (Multi TV Position) and South East (Azam TV Direction).

To easily combine SES5 and Eutelsat 7 satellites together, you will have to firstly, nail the SES 5 satellite at South East (Azam TV Direction) then add Eutelsat 7 Frequency and symbol rate.

Practical Aspects
Point the Lnb to South East (Azam TV Direction), which is close to the west, It is roughly between 170° and 200° azimuth with Elevation of 82°.
If you are using 60/90 cm offset Satellite dish, just set the elevation pivot bolt at 58° – 60° mark.
Don’t forget, the lower the degree, the higher your dish move.

Finally, to track SES 5 and Eutelsat 7 satellites together with single lnb, just track SES 5 with,
– frequency: 12015
– Polarization: V
– Symbol Rate: 30000
Or
– Frequency: 12034
– Polarization: H
– Symbol Rate: 27500
Ensure the signal is at its highest peak as possible then blindscan and Eutelsat 7 will automatically surface jointly with the SES 5.

But in the situation whereby Eutelsat 7 didn’t automatically surface, input below Frequency manually.

– Frequency: 10928
– Polarization: H
– Symbol Rate: 30000
Or
– Frequency: 10887
– Polarization: H
– Symbol Rate: 30000
Note: 90 cm dish is the best option for a maximum signal reception, though 60 cm dish is capable of doing the same work.

ANGOSAT LAUNCH!!!

The Angosat Project Contract was signed by the Russian and Angolan Parties in 2009. In the following years both parties carried out a joint work in organization of the project financing, that made it possible to proceed to its practical implementation. Work on the satellite started in late 2012.
The Angosat Project calls for development of a communications satellite with C- and Ku-band transponders, its launch into a geostationary orbit and development of the ground communication and TV broadcasting infrastructure. The Mission Control Center and Central satellite communication network station are planned to be built in the suburbs of Luanda. Moreover, the Project provides for activities on improvement of the currently exciting ground
segment of satellite television broadcasting system of the Republic of Angola. The satellite was launched on 26 December 2017 successfully directly into geostationary orbit. Contact was established with AngoSat 1 after spacecraft separation, but contact was lost subsequently during solar panel deployment. Contact was reestablished a
day later, but the status of the batteries remained
worrisome. The satellite will be operated by Angola’s Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology. Angosat 1 will be placed in geostationary orbit at a longitude of 14 degrees East longitude and is expected to operate for at least fifteen years. It will match Earth’s rotation and hover over the same geographic location, beaming television broadcast, Internet, radio and other telecommunications services to Angola, the rest of Africa and parts of Europe. The satellite carries 16 C-band and six Ku-band transponders, and its communications payload was
supplied by Airbus Defense and Space. Angosat 1 is the Republic Of Angola’s first communications satellite and the first of its kind in Africa; it is the product of an inter-governmental agreement signed between the Angolan and Russian governments in 2009. Russian engineers also helped construct and activate a satellite control center near the Angolan capital of Luanda on the southwest coast of Africa, where officials will oversee Angosat 1 operations.
