BREAKING NEWS: The government of Nigeria has prohibited graduation and sign outs in Kontagora kingdom.

Niger State Primary and Secondary Education has suspended all graduation and “sign-out” programs at all private and public schools in Kontagora Kingdom.

This action was taken as a result of the conflict caused by young thugs in such events.

The Ministry has requested to get permission from the government before conducting such requirements for the safety and safety of students.

ASTUC Youth Embarks on Fact-Finding Tour of Tummy Tummy Noodles Facility

In a swift response to viral misinformation alleging a shutdown of Tummy Tummy Noodles over product quality concerns, the ASTUC Youth Wing—formerly ASATU Youth—led by President General Comr. Ken Okoli, embarked on a fact-finding tour of the company’s facility in Nnewi North on Friday, July 25, 2025.

The team was received by General Manager Mr. Chijioke Anumoka, who, on behalf of the MD, debunked the shutdown claims, confirming uninterrupted operations and over 1,000 staff working in shifts.

Comr. Okoli expressed satisfaction with the plant’s efficiency and praised the company’s investment in Anambra State, aligning it with Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s Ease of Doing Business agenda. He assured the management of the Youth Wing’s support in protecting credible businesses from false narratives.

The visit ended with mutual goodwill and a meal of Tummy Tummy Noodles served to the delegation.

PDP Family Visits Anambra Gubernatorial Candidate Recovering from Gunshot Wounds

The Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Amb. Umar Iliya Damagum, visited Amb. Jude Ezenwafor, the party's gubernatorial candidate for Anambra State, in Abuja following a recent ambush and shooting incident.

Amb. Ezenwafor was attacked by gunmen while returning from an appointment. During the visit, the delegation, which included Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammed and the Speaker of Bauchi State, expressed deep concern for his well-being and wished him a speedy recovery. They offered prayers for God's love and support during this challenging time.

Breaking News: Awka-South Agu Nechemba Strike Force Arrests Three Members of a Criminal Gang terrorising parts of Awka.

In a swift and tactical morning operation, the Agu Nechemba Strike Force of Awka South Local Government successfully apprehended three suspected members of a notorious criminal gang linked to Keke thefts, armed robbery, and other violent activities in Awka.

The arrest, made following credible intelligence, led to the recovery of fi****ms and dangerous weapons, marking a major win for security in the area. This breakthrough highlights the effectiveness of the Agu Nechemba initiative, launched under the security-driven leadership of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo and reinforced by Mayor Prince Chinedu Okafor here in Awka-South.

The Mayor, who from the assumption of office has consistently prioritized the safety of lives and property, praised the operation and stated: *“This arrest sends a clear message — there is no room for criminality in Awka South.”*

He urged residents to stay vigilant and support law enforcement through timely reporting of suspicious activities. The suspects are now in custody and will be handed over to the State CID for further investigation and prosecution.

Respite For Obosi, Anambra State Government Brokers Peace

Government of Anambra State has embarked on fact finding mission to provide respite and entrench peace in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area.

Following the unfortunate incident in the community by operatives of the Special Anti-Touting Squad, SASA, a government delegation, led by Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, were part of a town hall meeting with members of the community.

While stating that government has launched investigation into the matter, Professor Chukwulobelu expressed regret and condemned the act, while accepting that the operatives exceeded their boundaries, pointed out that the perpetrators will be brought to book and assured that the operations of SASA will be reorganized, to prevent future occurrences.

The Traditional Ruler of Obosi and State Chairman of the State Traditional Rulers' Council, Igwe Chidubem Iweka alleged that SASA has been infiltrated, that the bad eggs should be weeded out, just as the Commissioner for Works, Engr. Ifeanyi Okoma, Mayor, Idemili North Local Government Area, Mr. Stanley Nkwoka, President General of Obosi, Barr. Chimezie Obi, Lady Philo Onwualu, Mrs Chuke Stella and Chief Alex Omezie stated that the community have a good working relationship with Governor Soludo's administration and variously urged the state government to ban SASA operations in Obosi.

State government made a commitment to cater for the damages incurred as a result of the unfortunate incident.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Barr. Alex Obiogbolu was also part of the delegation that attended the meeting, prior to which they were conducted round the damaged facilities and vehicles.
