Plateau Indigenes Protest, Demand Military Exit Over Rising Killings

Tensions have escalated in Plateau State as indigenes staged a protest, calling for the withdrawal of Nigerian military personnel from their community amid ongoing killings.

The protesters expressed anger over what they described as continued attacks despite the presence of security forces, questioning the effectiveness of the military deployment in safeguarding lives and property.

According to reports, residents accused armed assailants of carrying out repeated violent attacks, leading to loss of lives and displacement of families, while security presence in the area has not yielded the expected protection.

Security agencies are yet to issue an official response regarding the demands raised by the protesting residents.
