When Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji spoke about building a healthier Ekiti, it was not just a promise, it was a plan in action.
Across the state, we have seen hospitals revived, new facilities spring up, and medical workers empowered to serve better.
✅ Infrastructure & Facility Upgrade:
Over 100 health facilities, including 106 Basic Health Centres and 9 General Hospitals, have been built or upgraded.
At EKSUTH, major units like the Neo-Natal Intensive Care, Dialysis, and Surgical Centres now meet modern standards.
✅Health Insurance & Access:
Through the Ulerawa Scheme, access to affordable healthcare has expanded from 5 to 10 LGAs, reaching over 50,000 beneficiaries.
19,000 retirees now enjoy free, quality care under the Ekiti State Health Insurance Scheme.
✅ Welfare & Workforce:
Hazard allowances for doctors and clinical staff.
New health professionals recruited doctors, nurses, and community health officers, to strengthen care delivery.
✅ Targeted Programs:
Over 3,722 free surgeries, from childbirth to cataract repairs.
Over 90,000 malaria prevention drugs distributed to pregnant women.
Over 600,000 malaria tests conducted and 205,000 insecticidal nets procured for distribution.
This is not politics, it is the people-first leadership. A government that listens, plans, and delivers. A state where health is not a privilege but a right.
Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s commitment to Ekiti’s health sector is proof that progress is not an event, it is a continuous process.
