EKITI SUMMIT NEWS Media Group Names Her Excellency, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, Ekiti First Lady, as Person of the Year 2025
Ekiti Summit News Media Group has named Her Excellency, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, the First Lady of Ekiti State, as its Person of the Year 2025, in recognition of her outstanding humanitarian service, leadership qualities, and compassionate impact on lives across the state.
In its official citation, the media group described the Ekiti First Lady as “a lifeline of compassion, a model of grace and leadership who has redefined the office of the First Lady in Ekiti State.” The organization noted that Dr.Olayemi Oyebanji’s commitment to social welfare, women empowerment, orphan and child care initiatives, and support for the vulnerable has set a new standard for purposeful leadership and service.
According to Ekiti Summit Media Editorial Board: " the selection followed careful consideration of her visible contributions to human development, moral leadership, and her consistent efforts at complementing the developmental agenda of the Ekiti State Government through people-centered programmes."
The award ceremony is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 7th March, 2026, in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital. The event is expected to attract dignitaries from government, media, civil society organizations, traditional institutions, and other stakeholders from within and outside the state.
The award celebrates excellence, compassion, and transformative leadership, qualities which Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji has exemplified in her role as First Lady.
Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, OFR, CON, Founder/Chancellor of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD)was the Ekiti Summit Person of the Year 2024 and awarded the Lifetime Achievements Award 2025 for his exceptional leadership acumen and social change philanthropy.
