The Bishop Emeritus, Catholic Diocese of Oyo, Most Rev. Julius Babatunde Adelakun passed on to the Lord at 6:20 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the age of 91.

Bishop Adelakun served faithfully, leading with wisdom, humility, and love for God’s people. His legacy of faith and dedication will forever remain in our hearts.

May God grant him eternal rest and comfort all who mourn his passing.
