They kept calling the phone until you picked. They begged you to please return the phone, and you said they would settle you first.

"How much?"
You said, "50k."

They said they didn't have money and asked whether you'd collect "Opueh?" You said yes!

You still had the audacity to show up to collect "opueh" for a phone you stole. Now, you're in trouble.

This happened in Ikotun, Lagos.

You know, at times that we go to church and hear sermons like “Help a stranger just like Abraham did in the Bible” and just like “the Good Samaritan”, it often makes me think whether those who were in need of help those days are different from those of today. Imagine meeting a woman who was asking for arms on behalf of the motherless babies home, asking me to assist them and I had #1000.00 and #50.00 on my hands, the moment I tried to give her the #50.00 note instead of the #1000.00 note, she withdraw her hand and pointed at the #1000.00 saying ‘sir, this one will be of more help to them than the other one’ 🙄🙄😲😲
At this point, I off………
Does that really suggest that beggars this days have a choice of how they can be helped?
