LETTER TO NIGERIAN ON OUR INDEPENDENT DAY
October 1st, 2023
Dear NIGERIAN POLITICIANS, YOUTH, and CITIZENS ,
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I write to you today with a heavy heart, burdened by the state of our BELOVED NATION . As In Christ's love, celebrates its INDEPENDENCE on OCTOBER 1st, it is crucial that we reflect on the CHALLENGES we face as a nation, particularly the rampant CORRUPTION and worldliness that have plagued our society.
Firstly, let us acknowledge that CORRUPTION has DEEPLY ROOTED itself within our POLITICAL SYSTEM. It has become a CANCER that eats away at the very fabric of our nation, hindering progress, and perpetuating poverty. CORRUPTION not only undermines the trust of the people but also diverts resources meant for the betterment of society into the hands of a few. This systemic corruption has hindered our nation's growth and development, leaving many of our citizens in dire circumstances.
Furthermore, the allure of worldly pleasures has captivated the hearts and minds of our YOUTH and CITIZENS. Materialism, greed, and a pursuit of personal gain have become the driving forces behind many of our actions. We have lost sight of the values that once defined us as a nation, such as integrity, selflessness, and a commitment to the common good. Our pursuit of worldly pleasures has left us empty, devoid of true joy and purpose.
However, amidst the darkness, there is hope. As CHRISTIANS, we are called to be the salt and light of the world, to stand against CORRUPTION and WORLDLINESS , and to be agents of change. We must start by examining our own hearts and lives, ensuring that we are not contributing to the CORRUPTION and WORLDLINESS that plagues our society. Let us repent of our own sins and seek God's forgiveness, asking Him to transform us from within.
To our POLITICIANS , I implore you to lead with integrity, honesty, and a genuine concern for the welfare of the people you serve. Remember that you are called to be servants of the people, not masters. Embrace transparency and accountability in your actions, and prioritize the needs of the citizens over personal gain. Seek wisdom from above and make decisions that will benefit the nation as a whole, rather than a select few.
To our YOUTH , I urge you to resist the temptations of this world and pursue righteousness. Do not be swayed by the allure of quick wealth and material possessions. Instead, invest in your education, develop your skills, and work diligently to contribute positively to society. Be the change you want to see in *Nigeria* , and do not be afraid to stand up against corruption and injustice.
To all CITIZENS, let us come together in unity, setting aside our differences and working towards a common goal – the betterment of our nation. Engage in peaceful dialogue, hold our leaders accountable, and actively participate in the democratic process. Let us prioritize the welfare of our fellow citizens, especially the marginalized and vulnerable, and work towards creating a just and equitable society.
As we CELEBRATE NIGERIA'S INDEPENDENCE, let us remember that true *freedom* is not merely POLITICAL or ECONOMIC but also SPIRITUAL. It is a FREEDOM that comes from knowing Christ and living according to His teachings. Let us turn to GOD in prayer, seeking His guidance, wisdom, and grace to transform our nation.
May this INDEPENDENCE DAY be a turning point for NIGERIA , a day when we collectively commit to change. Let us be a nation that is known for its righteousness, integrity, and love for one another. May God's light shine brightly upon us, dispelling the darkness of corruption and worldliness.
In CHRIST'S love,
Adelekun oluwaseun moses
