They say "chase the bag" but I say, build the vault first.
Because if your name can't open doors,
what exactly are you buying with your money?
You want success?
Start with credibility make your name heavier than gold.
Let your word carry weight even when your wallet is light.
Because when people believe you, they’ll bet on you.
No receipts needed.
Then invest in relationships the kind that remember you when you’re broke,
mention your name in rooms you’ve never entered,
and don’t charge you for their support (unless it’s jollof rice at the next party).
Network like a human, not a business card dispenser.
Next, don’t forget integrity.
Do right, even if you’re the only one in the group chat doing it.
Your future self will thank you your past enemies will wonder what spell you're using.
Character is the unseen armor.
It doesn’t shine, but it shields.
It’s what shows up when life unfriends you and Wi-Fi is down.
If you don’t have it, even money will embarrass you in public.
Now let’s talk competence.
Be so good they can’t replace you even if they try with a cheaper version.
Your skills should announce you before you arrive
(Your mouth can rest. Let your work do the talking.)
And finally, cash.
Important? Yes.
Everything? No.
Cash is like pepper use it right and you’ll enjoy.
Use it wrong and you’ll cry with your eyes open.
Moral of the story?
Don’t just chase success like it’s on sale.
Become success.
Layer by layer.
From within.
