[5/29, 10:28 PM] null: 3 Things A Muslim Should Do Daily To Expand Rizq (Wealth)
Many people want more wealth.
But as Muslims, we should seek something even greater:
Barakah in wealth.
Because a person may earn a lot yet never feel satisfied.
While another earns little and Allah places so much blessing in it that it becomes sufficient.
If you desire expansion in your rizq, these are three practices you should try not to neglect daily.
[5/29, 10:31 PM] null: 1. Increase Istighfār Every Day
Allah mentions what Prophet Nūḥ (ʿalayhis-salām) told his people:
فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًا وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ
Meaning
“So I said, ‘Seek forgiveness from your Lord. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving. He will send rain upon you in abundance and support you with wealth and children.’”
(Sūrah Nūḥ 71:10–12)
Subḥānallāh.
Notice how seeking Allah's forgiveness was connected to increase and blessings.
Say daily:
أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ
Transliteration
Astaghfirullāha wa atūbu ilayh.
Meaning
“I seek forgiveness from Allah and repent to Him.”
Try to say it at least 100 times every day.
Some doors open through Istighfār before they open through effort.
[5/29, 10:33 PM] null: 2. Hold On To The Du‘ā Of Mūsā عليه السلام
When Mūsā (ʿalayhis-salām) found himself alone, exhausted and in need, he turned to Allah and said:
رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ
Transliteration
Rabbi innī limā anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqīr.
Meaning
“My Lord, indeed I am in need of whatever good You send down to me.”
(Sūrah Al-Qaṣaṣ 28:24)
Subḥānallāh.
A short du‘ā carrying immense humility.
Shortly afterwards, Allah blessed him with:
- shelter
- provision
- employment
- and a righteous wife
Repeat this du‘ā often with sincerity and complete dependence upon Allah.
[5/29, 10:35 PM] null: 3. Never Neglect Ṣalātud-Ḍuḥā
