Lagos is bringing back environmental sanitation… and this time, you can’t ignore it.
Starting this Saturday, April 25, 2026, everyone is expected to stay in their area between 6:30am – 8:30am and clean their surroundings.
Yes — that means: No going out
No “quick movement”
No excuses
Just you, your street, and the dirt we’ve all been pretending not to see.
Here’s the thing…
We complain every rainy season: “Everywhere is flooded”
“Government is not doing anything”
But go and check your gutter right now.
Pure nylon, bottles, and waste.
Blocked drains don’t happen by magic. We create them.
This sanitation exercise isn’t just about sweeping roads. It’s about fixing a mindset.
👉 Clean your frontage
👉 Clear your gutter
👉 Stop dumping waste carelessly
Because the same dirt you ignore today is the flood that will enter your house tomorrow.
And yes, this one is being enforced.
Officials will be out. There are penalties. So it’s not business as usual.
But beyond enforcement, ask yourself a simple question:
Do you actually want a cleaner Lagos… or you just like complaining about a dirty one?
This Saturday will show the difference.
Tag someone in your area. Let’s see which streets will actually take this seriously 👇
