Nollywood actress Chacha Eke has prayed for her daughter, Kamara, as she turned 12 today.

In a post on Instagram, she prayed God to continue showering her daughter with endless love.

She also revealed that her other siblings are proud to have Kamara as their sister.

Some social media users have mocked the 'Igbo king' in Ghana, Eze Chuckwudi Jude Ihenetu, after he reportedly failed to shake hands with the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, during the funeral ceremony of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.

On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, Eze Ihenetu, who recently sparked controversy over allegedly attempting to establish a kingdom in Ghana, was captured with his entourage at the Manhyia Palace to pay homage to the late queen mother.

In a viral video, the 'Igbo king' and his delegation arrived at the funeral grounds to sympathise with the Asantehene.

While Otumfuo sat receiving greetings, his linguist (kyeame), Baffour Kantankrakye, alongside other traditional leaders, directed mourners and guests.

The entourage was asked to remove their hats as part of traditional rites and to pay homage from a distance, without directly shaking the Asantehene's hand.

After the incident, videos circulated online showing Eze Ihenetu appearing visibly unhappy with the situation, sparking a heated debate on social media.

While some users questioned why he was not allowed to shake hands with Otumfuo, others mocked the self-acclaimed king, claiming he had been "snubbed" at Manhyia.

Social media reactions included, "I still don't understand why they didn't allow the Igbo king to send his condolences to the Asantehene."

"They told the Igbo king in Ghana to remove his crown and bow. He wanted to greet the Asante King, but they bounced him like Peter Obi."

"The Igbo chief was not allowed to greet the King."

Nigerians have taken to social media to lambast controversial singer, Portable after he said he will sell his vote in the coming election.

It all began after the singer asked his fans if they have collected their voters card then proceeded to reveal that whoever pays him is the person he will endorse in the 2027 election.

"Anybody wey give me money na who I go follow. Anybody wey fit help our life," the singer said.

He added in Yoruba: "If APC brings money first, APC owns me. If PDP brings money first, I will collect. Even if it's Peter Obi that pays first, I'll tell my fans to follow him; to vote for him."

He stated that he cannot support anyone while going hungry.

"Vote for anybody wey you like, vote for your helper, vote for who give you money," he concluded.

His statement has sparked backlash, with many reminding him that he is a public figure who should lead by example.

Nigerian rapper and singer, Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, has taken a swipe at Wizkid’s long-time associate, Tufab, in a series of posts on X

The “Shake Body” crooner, who recently released his new album “Martina’s Son”, called out Tufab for what he described as a long history of trolling artistes online.

According to Skales, the critic is close to 40 years old yet still behaves like a young adult in his early 20s.

He accused him of being a “beggar” and an “ass-kisser” who has failed to achieve anything meaningful, choosing instead to spend his time mocking artistes and gambling his life away.

Nollywood actor Bolanle Ninalowo has reacted strongly to reports that a fraudster impersonating him defrauded a Lagos-based woman of a staggering ₦33 million. The victim, identified as Victoria Yemisi Ayano, reportedly fell into the trap of the impersonator who posed as the popular actor on TikTok.

According to details released, Ayano began interacting with the fraudster in July 2024 after coming across a TikTok account carrying Ninalowo’s name and likeness. Believing she was in contact with the actor, she was lured into conversations that later turned into promises of business opportunities and personal connections.

The fraudster, who disguised himself with convincing messages and images, allegedly persuaded Ayano to transfer money in several installments. By the time she realized the deceit, the funds had accumulated to ₦33 million, an amount she later described as her life savings.

Feeling devastated, Ayano filed a petition with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), providing WhatsApp chats, screenshots, and bank transfer evidence. The matter is now under investigation, with EFCC operatives said to be tracing the accounts and digital footprints linked to the scam.

Reacting on his Instagram page on September 11, 2025, Ninalowo expressed shock and disbelief at the incident. The actor, popularly called “Makanaki,” made light of the matter while stressing the seriousness of the situation. “Even Nollywood wey blow me no dey pay me ₦33m per film,” he wrote, clarifying that he has never demanded such amounts from any fan.

He warned his followers to be vigilant and not to fall for similar impersonation tactics. Ninalowo stressed that public figures often become victims of fraudsters who exploit their popularity for selfish gains, thereby tarnishing reputations and harming unsuspecting fans.

The actor further urged members of the public to always verify the authenticity of individuals they interact with online before engaging in any financial transactions. He encouraged victims to report fraudulent activities to security agencies rather than suffer in silence.

The case has since sparked discussions on the growing menace of online impersonation in Nigeria’s entertainment space. Many celebrities have in the past raised alarms over fake social media accounts created in their names, with fans duped under the guise of giveaways, business offers, or romantic advances.

Supporters of the actor took to social media to sympathize with Ayano while applauding Ninalowo for speaking out. Some users expressed anger at how fraudsters continue to exploit gullible fans, while others called for stricter cybercrime laws and increased awareness campaigns.
